I don't know if this fine letter from Satan has been posted before, but I thought it was pretty good.

And on the subject of Pat Robertson, it's not his existence that worries me - there'll always be screwballs and lunatics in this world - but that his insane remarks get airplay, and thus get treated with more respect than they deserve.

I think Robertson belongs to the subgroup of "Christians" who believe that wealth is a sign of God's favor. Never mind that the Bible contradicts this explicitly (Matthew 19:24).

And the Bible also explicitly contradicts the idea that people become victims of disaster because they're less righteous than others (Luke 13:4).

I'm a Wiccan, but it seems I know more about Christianity than that worthless piece of shit Pat Robertson.

No. Elvis was with the "Martians" (they weren't really from Mars, just some far away planet).

But just about every Government official (at least the higher up ones) are on Satan's list.

I've often said that people like him make me wish I did believe in hell so they could burn in it.

Partly it was because New York Harbor was completely impregnable. The forts on both sides would have cut any invasion fleet to ribbons, given the firearms of the time. The British knew this and never tried to attack New York. And New York would have been key to an effective use of the Royal Navy in the Revolutionary War.
