Saudi Arabia: death by Crucifixion

A well-performed beheading is arguably a very humane method of execution (given that one accepts capital punishment in the first place.)

Displaying the results is tacky as fuck.

I am supportive of the humane, first and foremost.

Sure..I hope the result not like..Mary, Queen of Scots

We in the USA still execute people, dead is dead, nothing human about any of it.

One does not accept it in the first place. Talking about humane execution is much like discussing benevolent rape.

That does not mean that in all of human history there is not occasionally a call for its use. But let us not dally with conceits that some degree of humanity is involved.

Some degree of humane-ness is involved, insofar as the mechanics of execution can be arranged to diminish terror and pain, and increase comfort.

I wasn't trying to suggest that some degree of humanity was to be found in the ethics of execution.

Execution is appalling.

Execution by gas chamber, electric chair, lethal injection moreso.

Saudi Arabia chosen to lead UN's Human Rights Council. WTF? :grrr:

If I understood correctly an interview given by the French president Saudi Arabia wasn't "chosen". The UN is what it says it is, united nations (both the good and the bad) and its regulations provide for countries heading councils on a rotating basis. So it just happens that it became their turn to head the council.

All forms of capital punishment is cruel and unusual and too many innocent people have died unjustly because of it and many more waiting to die for stuff they never even did. Worst part is many are still considered "guilty" by the justice system despite so much evidence proving else wise. This is why I have no faith in the system and stopped believing in it a long time ago.

Saudi Arabia is responsible for almost all the evil and some other website on earth today.

But everyone loves their oil.

A bunch or rich pigs with money. I have made several Business trips to Bahrain and Kuwait. In those countries at Hotels you can drink. All I ever see there are mega rich Saudis drinking and having sex with High Price Call Girls. Then they go back to Saudi and are big believers in there cartoon prophet. Not only are these pigs now going to be the U.N. Rights people they have made the U.N. agree that it is not wrong for a person to lose there job because they are gay. I should also point out they have one of the largest army and air force on earth but do little to stop ISIS.
