OK guys, I decided it would be a good idea to start this topic specifically for any Saw fans out there to discuss events so far and what we think will happen in VI!
If you don't like Saw, please don't be leaving all your bashing comments here! Everyone is entitled to their opinion but it would be nice to just have fans on here - I know I can't be the only one lol!!
Personally, I wanna know what the fuck is in the black box that John left Jill & I also wanna know how much she's involved...it just seems too obvious for the Saw team's standards to make her the "accomplise" and the one to test Hoffman don't you think??
Also, I honestly do, genuinly believe that Dr Gordon is still involved lol! I know there's been alot of debate about this but, I dont think the writers would have failed to explain what happens to him if it wasn't important!!
I also heard that my personal favourite, Amanda, is back in VI...it's probs just flashbacks but how amazing would it be if she isn't actually dead (bulletproof vest and fake blood) lol...well I can dream!
OK - discuss people!! What's everyone's thoughts?? ..|

I think I have only seen the first two... so there's continuing plot points?

I'll have to get them all on DVD then.

Don't feel left out. It seriously jumped the shark after about the 3rd one.

I was a Saw fan, but it went like this for me.

Saw: Great movie, original concept and well done.

Saw 2: An ok follow up, not as good as the original but not bad.

Saw 3: Ok, now we're just pushing it.

Saw 4: WTF?

Saw 5/6/X: why bother

They keep making Saw movies for one reason and one only. There's a certain number of people who will pay money to see any kind of gory movie on Halloween and "Saw" is now a name they recognize. Any kind of recognizable plot in the series was long since bastardized at least 3 times.

I need to watch these over again. I own Saw I and II. And I saw III in theaters when it came out. I barely remember IV and I don't think I've seen V yet. Is that one out yet?

Looks like you followed the same sensory process I did, though maybe subconsciously? lol

Well Saw is one of those things you either hate it or you secretly love it.

I started loving it to then secretly loving it. lol

I haven't seen Saw V, yet... I would like to at some point.
I've seen the other four.

i hear you on IV. i'm sure i MUST'VE watched it, but i can't remember a single detail from it. actually the only thing i remember about V is that the ending freaked me out....

they're not HORRIBLE movies, but the "plots" get a little tough to follow.

I recently watched the one with Meagan Good. I had to rewatch it and even then my roommate had to explain it to me, twice.

lol!! I must admit, I ADORE the movies, but I really feel that V just didnt hit the mark for me...it had something missing but I don't know what...however, I truely believe that VI will be epic as its being billed as the last one with the slogan "Game Over"...they'd better answer ALL the questions that have been made in the others lol!

Okayyyy
Saw: okay movie, boring but GREAT ending
Saw II: amazing, loved it all
Saw III: Not as good as two but overall entertaining
Saw IV: LOVED! the twist was awesome and the situations were very well played out
Saw V: at first i was disappointed w the ending, but after watching it again, i truly love the story with the five people. Overall nicely done.

my faves in order:
2,4,5,3,1

CANT WAIT FOR VI
RLY WANNA KNOW WTF IS IN JILL TUCKS BOX!!

I have to sit and think to recall the Saw storyline but the traps and games always stick with me. I'll keep watching as long as they keep designing all those interesting little survival games.

I rember the first 3, but to be honest I coudn't tell you a single detail or trap from the 4th or 5th one, it's like they've ran togther for me

The first interviews with cast and crew have become available and theres some VERY interesting details...here's the most important parts:-

Interview with Tobin Bell (Jigsaw):-
"So I hear in this latest film that the overall scheme of Jigsaw will finally be revealed. What do you think?"

"Hopefeully. I mean, you definitely get a window into John's mind and you get a special timeline in this film as to what's going on. I'm always trying to tell more of the story and to tell the audience what he does and why."

"Awesome. So we've all heard that the great Shawnee Smith is finally returning back to the screen. Can you give us an idea of what's going on there?"

(Laughs) Shawnee is very...as you know...so important. Her character (Amanda Young) is one of the main pillars of the SAW VI story and everybody should be excited about it. It's so great that she's back in it and fans should be very excited to see her again."

"So I guess it's safe to say that John isn't fading away in any medium then?"

"I'm not planning on fading away anywhere. I'm gonna keep going and make sure the SAW story stays strong for a long-time."

Kevin Greutert (Director):-
"And you're working with Shawnee Smith as well who is making a big return. Is she important to the new storyline?"

"Oh yes! (Laughs) Yeah, going into this, we absolutely have to have Shawnee Smith in this movie. First off, there's too much stuff that is unanswered and her character is my favourite other than Jigsaw of course. I'm trying to bring more answers from her past to this film and if I succeed with the movie, I think it will be a great human drama."

"Any thoughts on when we'll be seeing the first teaser trailer for the film? The teasers are becoming legendary as each new one is so unique."

"Ummm...I don't know. I was to make one to play this weekend but I haven't had a chance to get into the editing room to do it yet. Usually it's done before Comic-Con and it comes out sometime in July. I'm very excited to do it though and it's a great tease for the audience."

Betsy Russell (Jill):-
"So how involved are you in the story for SAW VI?"

"I am much more involved in this one than I was in SAW V. We finally get to find out what was in the box that was shown in the last movie."

"Oh man, that was going to be my last question for you. (Laughing)"

"(Laughs) Yeah, well I can't tell you what's in the box but you will find out in this movie for sure and it's great. It's hard to figure out what to say without revealing too much. If I told you what's in the box, why bother even coming to see the movie?"

"It's that important?"

"(Laughs) Oh yes but I'm still not telling."

"Will there be a lot more time between your character (John's ex-wife) and Tobin Bell in terms of your past relationship that is shown in flashbacks?"

"Oh yeah, there's going to be a lot more of that. As well, you'll finally see where my character is really going. Will she be good or will she be bad? Is she going to the dark side or isn't she?"

OMFG, i'm even more excited about this now! I reckon its gonna be EPIC!! :D

Where did you hear about "Saw 6"? i thought it was reported that Part 5 was it for the series...

I became a "Saw" JUNKIE after I watched part 1 @ a friends house. It wasnt like anything i imagined...It was everything I LOVED..Suspence, Thrill-ride, Drama...I went to the theatre to see Parts 2-5...

I'll be there for part 6 even though I thought part 5 was just mediocre...

I agree. I thought the games were so cleverly done and thought out. I had to rewatch the first movie just to understand the games.

I also loved Shawnee when she was the jigsaw's sidekick!!

Saw was great for the first two, but it went from psychological thriller to just blatant gore. The gore isn't why people liked it in the first place, but that seems to be the best they can do now. Still haven't seen 5, though. Ill probly watch it once 6 comes out.
