I wouldn't give it any thought, and I'd spend far more time worrying about why my friend hadn't slept for fifty hours.

I agree with Lex. I think one is prone to be in a state of near psychosis if one doesn't sleep in that period. I once was awake, for work, for nearly 48 hours, at the end of which went out dancing and drinking with friends. The next day, I told my friend that I couldn't believe I just passed out from exhaustion when we got in the car. She laughed and said I didn't stop talking the whole half hour ride home.

Tricky, oh dear Tricky, you confuse me so.

You have a crush on him but don't want to risk the friendship? Isn't that a risk in every relationship?

I think you do want him to propose again, otherwise you wouldn't've asked.

Wait til he's well rested and then leave lots of opportunity for him to try again :-).

If my friend propositioned me I would let him do what he wants, just because you have sex doesn't mean it has to be weird just have to learn how to separate the bedroom from life.

Before I was partnered, this happened to me. I did him, because....well, just because. It was fun. It didn't screw up the friendship at all because we weren't weirded out by lust or love or anything like that. He wanted to experiment with being with a guy and I gave him that experience. He decided he liked girls better and went off and married one (again). I've also decided not to take that personally. lol

Tell him you want some more if the last lot was anthing to go by!!

Tell him you were just getting started.

Why can't you be friends and have sex together? You don't even really have to be friends... Why do you have to fall in love with every guy you see? There's nothing wrong with a good hookup, provided both parties follow some ethical guidelines.

And likewise, why do guys who get a lot of sex think that gives them a right to lack empathy and treat people like shit, just because they are sexually attractive?

I really don't want to screw things up between him and I, as I value our friendship very highly.

Why does having sex or bonding intimately have to ruin your friendship? It should enhance it. Again, it doesn't mean you two have to be boyfriends and fall in love together....it just means that you are friends who find each other hot. And that can be a great thing. I don't really understand people who think like this.

Whoa, whoa, WHOA. Hold the phone. I said NOTHING about falling in love with my friend. He was just too weirded out by the whole thing to want to do it again.

I'm not sure the "you" in his post was talking about your story. :)

You don't have sex with your female friends, do you? Once you add sex to a friendship, it's different.

Some men revel in great sex and have no interest in commitment (think of Brian Kinney in Queer as Folk). That works for them.

Other men connect sex with love and commitment. That works for them.

And of course there are infinite shades in between. And sometimes it changes over time for the same man.
