If only it were true! I wish every student followed the Golden Rule.
Actually, out of the 96 students I have, only 3 are about to see why I was called the Queen Empress Bitch of All Known Universes and Dimensions. The banger (as in gang member) from San Diego has already learned this little queen is much, much more than he bargained for. He flashed gang signs in my room and thought I wouldn't know what he was doing. Guess he was the only person in the school that didn't know I grew up in the heart of the gang territories in Tulsa. And then he muttered a slang under his breath. Guess he didn't know that what hearing I have left is quite good. He was escorted from the building and given 5 days out of school suspension.
The other two aren't as bad as that one, but they're trying to gain higher positions in the classroom. I'm trying to let them feel things out and find themselves, but my patience for some of their antics is starting to wear thin. If they don't get settle soon, I may have to intervene and show them their place.
AVID is going well. I'm doing what I can without benefit of the curriculum yet. It was on backorder two weeks ago. Hopefully it will arrive eiether this week or next. There's only so much I can do without having books or reference materials that I'm supposed to use and cover.
And our curriculum coordinator did it again. She scheduled an inservice without looking at the calendar. We have an inservice on September 2nd for the entire district; however, the inservice for the math teachers will be on the 3rd because she didn't have a calendar when she lined up the presenter and thought the 3rd was Tuesday!
If your job was to schedule speakers, wouldn't you have a calendar with you when lining someone up?
Okay, back to the Closer marathon on TNT...
