They absolutely adore it if the person is a very wealthy fagula (ala Cruise and Travolta) who are interested in becoming a Scientologist. That way they can get them and all their money and keep them there with the ever constant fear that they will be outed by the church itself if they don't keep the contributions flowing.

In the Science of Survival: Prediction of Human Behavior [Scientology founder L. Ron] Hubbard argues that homosexuals should be segregated from the rest of society and institutionalized to prevent their illness from spreading to the rest of the population.

In Page 89-90, he writes:

"Such people should be taken from the society as rapidly as possible and uniformly institutionalized; for here is the level of the contagion of immorality, and the destruction of ethics...No social order which desires to survive dares overlook its stratum 1.1's. No social order will survive which does not remove these people from its midst."

At the time of the writing of Science of Survival, Hubbard did offer his own auditing process that allegedly would cure homosexuals of their sickness as an alternative to concentration camps.
 
Whenever I see the word "scientology" I think: an organized scam designed to part fools from their money. Whatever they think about homosexuality has about as much credence as what Dennis Rodman thinks about quantum theory.

Maybe it is just me, being Jewish, but I find the use of that word as offensive as faggot.

Well, maybe you should learn how to read between the lines. I used the word to demonstrate that it is how we are thought of and/or referred to by people like scientologists. To them we are not "people". We are fags, queers, homos, faygulas/feygeles (sp?), or whatever other epithet for homosexuals you can think of.

So you can dry your tears, there's no need to cry.

I look at the oldest threads from time to time... and found this one.
Actually this relates to the recent homophobic slurs thread so it isn't that bad :lol:
I've never seen or heard the word fagula, and I see it caused some dispute back in 2006. Can anyone explain this word? Did you know it? :confused:

Mormons.

They're very pushy. Literally as well as figuratively; I had one actually try to push my door open against me when I held him at the threshold with it just ajar enough for him to see the annoyance in my eyes.

I went through a phase during which I was bumping into them everywhere; not the same individuals but the same type of pairs of young men: their almost innocent, youthful faces offset by their customary funereal, dark attire. I began to think the Mormon Church had me under surveillance as a special case of interest!

When I lived in the city, they hit our apartment building and it was a really hot day and they looked limp with the heat, so I told them that I had no interest at all in being a Mormon as a homo, but I would like to hear them explain some of it and would they like some water or lemonade and just cool off for 20 minutes. And they did and they were so polite and neither was Mormon porn flick material and I still the the book of Moron that they gave me some 40 years later....
