Has anyone heard of this group? I googled them and it did not give me a lot of info. I guess what I want to know are they gay? A guy at work asked me about them and I have never heard of them.:confused:

And the lead singer is hot, hot, hot! (But he has a boyfriend. They did an article on them in "Out" or "The Advocate" last month. I forget which because I read them both at the same time.)
 
Sorry girls read your facts, 3 are gay one is a GIRL (ANNA MATRONIC) and then there is the lone staight guy. My and the huz are going to NOLA to see them next week at the House of Blues.
 
If you look up "over-rated" in the dictionary, there's a picture of The Scissor Sisters ripping off pop tunes from the 70s.

The singer has the most annoying voice since ... um... ever.

their new song "I dont' feel like dancing" is such a rip off of "you make me feel like dancing" by Leo Sayer I think it's plagiarism.

The only reason anyone likes them is that they're gay.

Actually, the Scissor Sisters are rather underrated, especially in North America where they are from. They are very popular in the U.K. (our across-the-pond JUBbers can attest to this I'm sure).

Their songs are catchy, intelligent... and just plain fun. They are also a treat to see in concert. See them if you can. (!)
 
I asked my fb exactly the same question- are they gay- and he replied the clue is in the word "sisters". 'Nuff said. I think they are cool and I think also the lead singer is rather yummy!:wave:
 
I would check out their remake of Pink Floyd's "Comfortably Numb". A lot of people will complain that it is a horrible remake, but if you think about it, the new version has a different meaning because of the way it was remade-- I think the reception of their music is suppose to work on the thematic style of the 70's, but there new album shows that they can try other styles. "Ta-Dah" even tackles vaudeville stylings.

And BabyDaddy is very hot. Hotter than the rest-- combined.

I think Scissor Sisters are fun! Unfortunate initials, yes, but fun nevertheless. It's a shame that we haven't really heard them much on the radio until recently, given they've been around for a little while now. And if I'm honest, even if there's really average (in my opinion) music being played by a band with queer members, chances are I want to hear it on general radio... And I'll probably buy something unless it's truly horrible.
