Scissor Sisters

When their song first came out,
i thought it was the bee gees or other old band singing it.

Scissor Sisters Cancel European Tour Due To Low Funds

Glam-pop band Scissor Sisters says it is canceling tour dates in Europe due to "funding issues." The New York-based quintet says it "has become impossible to make the tour work financially."

The band said in a statement posted on its website Monday that it was "very disappointed, but it is beyond anyone's control." The band didn't elaborate.

Refunds will be made for the nine shows in Denmark, Germany, the Netherlands, France, Luxembourg, Switzerland and Italy. Their gigs in Britain are not affected.

I'm so glad they're still doing the UK dates! My jaw dropped when I saw it on Twitter! Woo, bring on 12th December! (!)

Coachella 2011: Scissor Sisters declare themselves 'the band that has the most fun onstage'

Moments before Scissor Sisters were set to close the Mojave tent at midnight on Saturday, the masses were already chanting their name.

“It’s the moment you've been waiting for,” singer Ana Matronic screamed. “The Scissor Sisters have come to set you free … and in case you were wondering, yes, we are the band that has the most fun onstage.”

And fun they indeed had -- they were not only celebrating their 10th year as a group but nearing the end of an extensive tour schedule that included spending the better part of the year converting Lady Gaga’s little monsters on her Monster Ball Tour and Matronic deemed the night in the desert a freaking party -- OK she used another word that starts with 'F' to describe the joyous evening.

Launching their set with a fountain of silver metallic helium filled balloons that exploded into the crowd – very Andy Warhol “Silver Clouds” – the audience continued to hoist deflated pieces above their head as they danced themselves into a sweaty mess for the band's entire set.

The New Yorkers defy both genre and gender with their mix of glam rock, disco and pop, and the crowd ate up the band’s brand of burlesque, drag show and underground discotheque as they mouthed the words to the raucous songs that made the band a favorite in the dance club scene.

Judging from the bumping and grinding both onstage -- courtesy of lead man Jake Shears hip action -- and in the crowd, the band clearly "freed" Coachella on Saturday night.

I'm not much of a fan of their old stuff, but I love Night Work.

I think this song would have been cooler had Kylie been on the album track, too.

Kylie is on the album version. Can't wait to hear the new single Shady Love, Boy George played it at a dj gig the other night lucky man.
