On-Topic Scott Brown Really Needs to Vet His Spokesracists, er, Homophobes, er, Misogynists, er Antisemites er Persons a Little Closer

Funny I was just talking about this in PMs because I know this will end in name calling. I am at least glad to some extent that said derogatory name calling has for the most part cease to occur here.

As I said in PMs, this guy didn't go to Brandeis for two reasons: 1. It's one of the most liberal schools in MA which is quite a feat and 2. he's too stupid to get in. My best friend in HS is Jewish and IMO he was smarter than me and didn't get into Brandeis and was forced to go to Clark for Jewish studies.

Everyone I know that was working for the Brown re election campaaign has quit, embarrassed by the morass of muck that brown has fallen into.

Brown will not win.

Warren will succeed. Her door knocking campaign and get the vote out campaign is on fire, and Brown's is seeing defections from within. The man is running as an independent... as if we all can't see the R behind his name OR the fact that he filibustered the Veterans Jobs act.

He will fail.

I will vote for Warren, and I whole heartedly encourage everyone that is voting in the Commonwealth to do the same. Brown has revealed himself to be PART of the republican muck machine, not apart from or above it.

New Yorkers know as much about Mass politic and Boston sensibilities as the easter bunny knows about santy claus.

It won't matter. Brown will lose. This one is for US, members of the Commonwealth to decide, not our sad neighbors from the common state of New York.

Bloomy didn't say who would win

just about the two candidates and his opinion

he's an independent less wedded to ideology - we need more like him not less

imagine a govt. that could actually effectuate change

or do u prefer gridlock ? hmmm

read the piece perhaps - it's very brief

Imagine what "people" here would say if Obama tried to limit sodas to sixteen ounces? it would be a supreme court case. Laughable at best.

but back to my point... there are many... and by many I mean quite a few but not a majority of voters... there are many Bostonians who are so "uncomfortable" shall we say.. with anything New York, that there is little Blimmburger can say or write that won't affect a knee jerk reaction in the opposite direction.

Warren is a socialist ......

so says Mayor Michael Bloomberg, an independent man - a real one - not a faux one like some proclaim

his opinion about scott brown is dead on

http://www.politico.com/blogs/burns...omberg-uses-the-s-word-for-warren-139132.html

Bloomberg's support for the man is reason enough to support Warren. Anyone who gets the approval of a man who has been rebuked for meddling in the business of states other than his own along with the US Department of Justice should be shunted directly into oblivion.

Bloomberg is wedded to his own ego. The only thing more of him would give us is chaos in the justice system.

Sounds like Boston has people with good sense.

Kinda like Virginia, which rebuked him for screwing with their law enforcement and justice system.

Two things Bloomberg has done that I approve of: He's backing gay marriage advocates, & he's for saner gun laws. Since I'm a Pepsi addict, I disapprove of his soda laws!

I seriously doubt that Elizabeth Warren is a socialist. Wait, you know what? One of my favorite American politicians, Bernie Saunders IS A SOCIALIST. Going by his record, his stands on gay rights/marriage equality, & trying to get an ammendment passed outlawing Ciitizen's United, his stance on heathcare & women's right to choose, protecting SS, M/Care & M/Caid, we damn well could use a few more like Bernie in the senate & certainly the damn house. Vermont didn't add SSR to it's name omce he was elected!!

I think crypto-fascists, relgious fanatics masquerading as "tea partiers", & phonies like Brown (& Chance's man crush Chis Christie) are way more dangerous to the US than Bernie or Elizabeth, even if she were a socialist

Warren is up by 9 points now, 53-44. It's interesting to see Warren's polling numbers slide closer to that of the presidential one in MA where Obama leads Romney 57-39. Looks like there is very little split-ticket voting going on afterall.

twas the filibuster of the vets jobs bill that killed the beast. Warren was going to get a seat anyway, but when he ran ads as an independent, you know HE knew it was over. We don't like desperation in the commonwealth.

Now we all need to figure out who will get Kerrey's seat next year.

good to see you posting, btw.;)

As I said in another post a while back, if Brown actually ran as an independent, this race would be much closer still. Now if Tierney can pull off an upset on the North Shore, that would be crazy. It's hard to win as a member of a corrupt political family but if any state loves corrupt politicians, it's MA.

lol

We tend to be forgiving of our own if they act penitent for a spell, and disdainful of other's cheats and liars no matter how great the apology. Odd but true.

Beacon Hill doesn't know what to do with a Warren win. She will be a powerful advocate for the poor and the consumer, but we have corporate interests on the north shore that have to have a voice as well. I think a Warren win will spell either a GOP victory to replace kerry, or an independent.

I am going to push for an independent personally. If we get enough New England independents in the senate, we will control the filibuster here.

I thought the independent in Maine had it in the bag to take Snowe's seat, but this happened, and now...

Well you know how Mainers are... they hate outside interference to such a degree that this money thing can't be playing well for him.

Mainers are an obdurate bunch, but I think we're all so disgusted with Dems and Repubs that Angus King will pull it off.

Thanks for taking an interest in "old" MASS.
