For whatever reason, he doesn't want to do it, though. If the Dems took over the Senate and Beto ran and won, he'd have substantial power and national influence even for a Freshmen. It's just as essential for the Dems to take the Senate as compared to keeping the House, and gaining the Presidency.

Joe Sestak dropped out, which makes me sad. He was my congressman and did an excellent job. Sestak was hoping his experience as a Navy admiral would set him apart from the pack, but it wasn't to be. His interviews with LGBT media were encouraging, as he was supportive of LGBT equality.

So who do I support now? Well...Pennsylvania's primary isn't until April.

In Canada, political parties are voted in by a relatively new 'One Member One Vote' system. They are generally private affairs. I may be wrong, but I don't think they campaign publicly. (Either that or I just don't pay attention to them.)

Our federal elections are quite different than those in the States. Under the Canada Elections Act, election campaigns can vary, but must be a minimum of 36 days and a maximum of 50 days. (There is an exception, but is rarely used. Former prime minister Stephen Harper took advantage of it in his last election and extended the campaign to 76 days. It backfired on him. He probably would have won if he had gone with the usual campaign period. He lost the election in the last few weeks of his campaign. Trudeau won with a majority.)

By the way, there are strict campaign expenditure limits at (as far as I know) all levels of the government. Political donations are also strictly limited. (Corporate donations are prohibited.)

Well, in fairness, Harris never got much of a mention anyway.

She wasn't any standout in ideas or platform, so not sure what she brought to the table.

If she had become the nominee, I believe she was electable, but also believe her strident tone was a mistake strategically.

With 15 left, we have a long way to go to get it down to the real contenders.

The dropouts don't mean much at this point. Any of them could become resurrected as a VP at this point, having gained national name recognition.

These names does NOT come out of thin air.
They are all over the internet and i didn't make them up. These names are so common so i remember them without look it up.
And you can call Conrad Yang, or Beijing Yang or John Yang you know and it won't stick ;)
 
If the candidates want to win, they should own these nicknames given to them, have fun with these names and laugh about it

Example:
Warren should say this often in ALL her rallies: Hello Pocahontas (and the crowd laughs it off .... etc
Bernie should say this in ALL his rallies: Hello I am crazy Bernie, You socialists ... (and his crowd laughs it off ..)
Pete should say this in all his rallies: Hello i am wine cave (his crowd laughs it off
and so on until the names looses its power.
