Date: 3/8/07 (Saturday)
Time: 7:00 PM – whenever
Events: Dinner, Bowling after dinner and possibly a club after midnight.
RSVP – Post to this thread. If you will be joining us for dinner, it’s very important that you RSVP.

Enjoy a night of fun with your JUB friends. Everyone 18+ is invited, no matter where you live. I hope all the guys from the Southeast are able to attend. We will begin the evening with dinner at one of the Midtown restaurants. From there we will go bowling at Midtown Bowl. If the group is interested, we can go to a club after midnight. If you can’t join us for the entire night, join us for what you can.

Privacy – As some people are not out, you don’t have to give your name unless you are comfortable doing so. You can just go by your JUB screen name. Please do not take any photos without the expressed consent of everyone that will be in the photo. Please respect the privacy concerns that many members have.

Dinner – The location of dinner will be highly dependent on the size of the group and your input. Give me suggestions! Suggested restaurants should be able to accommodate our group at one table, have a menu with a wide variety and have ample parking. The closer the location is to Midtown Bowl, the better. Anything in the Ansley Mall or Cheshire Bridge area would be great. Roxx is a possibility as it’s only a few blocks from the bowling alley. I have always sat outside there, so I don’t remember if they have space to accommodate a group inside. Does anyone know? A restaurant that takes reservations would be a plus.

Bowling – The bowling should be a lot fun. I haven’t bowled in years, so hopefully I don’t make a fool of myself. The alley doesn’t take reservations on Saturday nights, so we will probably have to wait a while to get some lanes. That’s OK, it will give us more time to talk. Club – We can make the decision of if and where when we get together. I did find that Chaparral is 18+. It’s not far from the bowling alley, has a big dance floor and draws a mixed crowd of gay and straight. The music is Reggaeton. There are also a variety of gay clubs in the area, but all are 21+.

RSVP – I need to know how many are interested! If interested, please post to this thread. Please indicate if you can definitely attend or the likelihood of your attendance. I need a count so that an appropriate restaurant can be selected.

I hope all you Southern boys can make it! Let’s all make this a great JUB Meet!

I don't know the area that well so I'm not the best person to ask for restaurant suggestions from (The only place I know is ru sauns, if I even spelled that right). :(

Thanks for all the replies so far.

Help get the word out about the meet. Place a link in your JUB signature (like mine below).

If you don't know how to add a link, here are instructions:
1. Highlight and copy (Ctrl C) the thread URL from the address bar. Hint: it starts with "http" and ends with "201412"
2. Select "Edit Signature" from the "Quick Links" drop down above.
3. Select the "Insert Link" button (looks like a globe with a chain link)
4. A pop up will appear asking for the URL. Delete everything already in the box, then past (Ctrl V) the thread URL that you copied in step 1. Be sure you don't have "http" twice. Select "OK".
5. You will notice code inserted. The thread URL will appear twice. The first one is the actual link and the second one is the link description (which should be highlighted). Replace the second one with "Atlanta JUB Meet March 8th - Click here for details" or whatever text you would like.
6. Highlight the description that you just typed. Use the font size and color tools to format the type as you would like. Note: I received an error message if I selected a text size larger than 3.
7. Preview the signature. Make any corrections if necessary.
8. Save
 
I would love to attend! As of right now it's not a 100% yes because of work & school, but I think I can probably make it.

A club would be great, problem is I'm only 20 so that might cause problems.

Seriously though, I work Thursday - Sunday and Idk if Ill have the available time off and have some PTO to spare as well. Then I dont wanna come alone, so Ill have to coerce one of my friends to come with me too. I doubt Ill be able to attend, just cause of the whole work issue. ](*,)

Definitely feel free to invite your friends, even if they aren't JUB members. The more the merrier. We may even recruit a few new members.

Unfortunately, there is no time off available. I wish I had known a little bit sooner... Its hard to get time off in a call center when your call type is Advance Technical. :cry:

hmm, I would love to go, Ive never been to GA although I have relatives that live in Savannah, I can probably drive since I live down in Miami.

Might have trouble getting off from work though, so its a big maybe for me.
