SE / Atlanta JUB Meet - MARCH 8th, 2008

cowtippers, lol, I remember someone in the forum admonishing someone else about something rural or another with, "think - cow tippers..." and I took umbrage. Great Omen; I'm so excited - just one more working day (friday). I'm a tad paranoid I might know some of our members living in Atlanta, but I'm determined to let nothing spike my ruff.
 
With regard to the bowling, I'm assuming most of us are not regular bowlers. I have bowled once or twice in the last 15 years. The bowling will primarily be a social event. Even if you don't want to bowl, please plan on coming to the bowling alley just to hang out with everyone.

All right people. I'm calling a 78 for my final score in at least one bowling session. Has anyone seen the first-season Roseanne episode at the bowling alley? I bowl like she does (kinda wings the ball down a lane without really looking).

yea, i'm not too worried about the thinning pile on top (it's been looking like a rat's nest for over a week, so I'm expecting the "stunningly gorgeous" phase to kick in in time for the meet) but it's the scruffy hair on my neck that bothers me...

Bowling is $30/hour?!?!?! I'm assuming we're getting the "reservation" rate?

I had this experience with Michael a couple of weeks ago - I thought our local bowling alley had such high rates to pay for renovations after a fire, but apparently this is now a standard rate?

I'll be up for an hour of bowling (maybe 2 at most) but the rest of the time I'll be in normal shoes, socializing.
 
This will officially be my first time coming to a gay event. Will be a breathe of fresh air to get to meet some guys and just get out there! =D So be gentle, I'm a gay newbie.

I've got some new digs from my birthday last year but everything is looser on me since I've lost weight. >.<

Is everyone ok with a chick coming? She is dropping me off and fronting me some cash for my time there until I get paid next week to pay her back. Not sure if she is staying though since it's not really her scene, shes a straight female. Hehe.

IMPORTANT UPDATE

I was able to get the bowling alley to take a reservation for our group, but the latest time they would take was 7:30 pm. Please be sure to arrive at the restaurant no later than 6:00 PM so that we will have plenty of time to eat before leaving for the bowling alley. It's only a 3 or 4 minute drive from the restaurant to the bowling alley, so we should still have plenty of time for dinner. We just need to be sure to get started on time.
 
Don't worry Atom, we understand you are a starving student and can help out if need be.
