Does anyone watch this on ABC Family? its one of my all time favorite guilty pleasures.. I mean, the drama is off the charts and there is tons of teen sex (gasp!).. Anyway, I love it...
 
They started playing this on cable a few months ago in my part of the world.

It's pretty corny, that Ricky guy is pretty nice to look at. LOL.
 
Yeah it is pretty corny but thats the point, its a guilty pleasure

I watched the premiere last night and really enjoyed it.. Ricky was being really cute, he was definitely showing his soft side

I haven't watched the last episode yet but it's definitely a guilty pleasure/secret. I do find it interesting how they treat such extreme issues in such a corny way. It's very 7th Heaven.
 
Created by Brenda Hamption, The Secret Life of the American Teenager was one I checked out when it debuted on ABC Family in July 2008.

It was intriguing at first — this pregnant 15-year-old Amy. Turns out her parents married because her mom, Anne, became pregnant with her (and daddy put the ring on mommy's finger). I liked their somewhat parallel fates.

Eventually I became tired of this show because it broadened its focus in a soap-operaish way of needlessly focusing story on the whole damn community. It was impression Secret Life is about the pregnant teenaged Amy — and that everyone, and everything, else revolves around her. What the show has done instead is give too much story and airtime to her classmates — and this no longer fits in with the title, and the premise, of the series.

(SIDE NOTE: Philip Anthony-Rodriguez, who plays daddy to the vampy arch-rival of Amy's — he's one hot guy. But, again, that doesn't speak to what this show is supposed to be about.)
 
I watched the first half of the first season. I could get past the terrible acting and the horrible dialogue. What did me in was how they talked on and on and on about A) sex, like it's some big taboo and B) anything. Someone would bring up the color yellow and they spend a good 5 real minutes talking about it in a single scene. It was ridiculously boring.

Its so 7th Heaven and amazing! I mean you just cant take it too seriously, its just fun and soapy

Ricky has been pretty amazing so far this season, i love how you think hes turning into a nice guy and then he does something else bad boy esque, liking sleeping with Ruthie from 7th Heaven...
 
it is a train wreck. and i love it. i first learned about it from the soup. then, i caught a marathon of it on abc family. and i am obsessed. it is soooo horrible. and amazing all at the same time. i was telling my friend about the girl getting broken up with because she wouldn't blow her boyfriend. then, him catching her masturbating (and listening to cyndi lauper's she bop lololol) and thinking she was cheating on him. and him paying her retarded brother to tell him who she was having sex with. and he told him she was having sex with herself. lolololol. i love it.
 
Haha yeah i mean its just so insanely addicting... Did you watch it on Monday? My favorite couple, Amy and Ricky, had a little moment at the end... I think those two crazy kids might actually get together and become a little family. LOVE IT
