While Gregg is not a Conservative ,I am very glad he passed up this offering from the Selected POTUSA.. I am sure he woulda liked to drink from BHO's chalice , he stated his ground.

Sen. Gregg stated, “I want to thank the President for nominating me to serve in his Cabinet as Secretary of Commerce. This was a great honor, and I had felt that I could bring some views and ideas that would assist him in governing during this difficult time. I especially admire his willingness to reach across the aisle.

“However, it has become apparent during this process that this will not work for me as I have found that on issues such as the stimulus package and the Census there are irresolvable conflicts for me. Prior to accepting this post, we had discussed these and other potential differences, but unfortunately we did not adequately focus on these concerns. We are functioning from a different set of views on many critical items of policy.

Did the RNC put so much presser on Gregg that his life would ruined after BHO's one term ? Maybe ..

Did the 3 RINO's that vote Yea for the socialist bail-out bill sway him ? Maybe..

I would like to think that Sen Gregg ,although a very moderate Pug , said NO.....
and his words are true to his heart and soul and did what was best.... Held To His Morals.

Thank You Sir..|

I hope many more will pass on the kool-aid and open the curtain.

He knows what the Obama regime stands for:

Over
Budget
And
Misguided
Administration

It's bliss!

Barack Obama was elected, not "selected," president of the United States.

:rotflmao: ^ Chance is probably emailing this comment to all his friends and family!

It's almost to bad he didn't take the job and then stand up to Obama. But I can see why he didn't want to put up with a Cabinet with people who think U.N. resolutions not ratified as treaties by the Senate should supersede U.S. law, who can't read the plain English of the Constitution but insist it means what they want it to say, and so on.

Obama's going to be surrounded by yes men, and that almost always spells ruin. So much for "change".

actually, he was selected by the Media which pushed his "Hope" bong on the american public.

Here, for those already on it take another hit:

Judd is a PUSSY....He wasnt even MAN enough to stick around in the cabinet and bring a Strong Republican voice..

He did the right thing by showing the American people that Republicans are YELLOW and they run away in tears..

^ He's not a pussy, he's smart. He realized that he was just there to make Obama appear bipartisan, when really, the administration is going to bypass anything he says anyways. Look at the spending bill being passed right now, perfect example...

As if the Republican's coffin lid isn't already full to the hilt with nails.......... well.......... I guess one more won't hurt.

^lol. im assuming thats directed at me. prolly well deserved too haha. props sir, props.

Judd approached Obama in the first place and asked for the position. So yeah, first he asked for the job, then he said yes I will. Then no I can't. Why? To extract the most political capital from Republicans so he wouldn't. So much for his & Republican integrity.

I thought Obama nominated him -- you're saying Gregg did the asking?

Link? Source? Proof?

Look up the two idiots he has for the top of Justice.

So you admit Bush was surrounded by idiots and yes men?

Not at all.
Bush was bought and paid for, and given a team that wasn't his, but were evil men bent on an evil agenda they thought would bring back American supremacy in the world, and get them rich while at it.
They were surrounded by idiots and yes men... except some who actually spoke up, so they got the president to fire the 'disloyal' types.

Any non-partisan would look at the secretaries and see a broad pool. And Hillary Clinton is no "yes man".

Clinton is like Powell was -- an exception. But we know what happened to Powell.

I look at the nominees and see ideologues, mostly -- the only breadth is that some are so far left it's surprising they're still Americans.
