the Tiny Desk Concert rabbit hole, you pervs. i knew it was a longrunning series, I did NOT know there's like TRILLIONS of episodes. stuck somewhere between Nao and MUNA (if you're looking for coming-of-age LGBT synth pop-rock it doesn't get more on-the-nose than a lesbian band with two exes as members).

I went in to check out Chaka Khan, then I was like, oh, here's a few more artists I like, guess I'll add them to the cue, then I was like "I have no idea who this is or what language it'll be in but their name sounds cool so lemme add THAT to Watch Later," an hour and 349854390583095830958 queue additions later I've abandoned organizing them into familiar artists and new (to me) artists and I'm literally just staring at the screen dumbfounded not knowing what or who to click next cuz I'll probably be dead and gone before watching even 1/3 of the videos I want to watch.

This is depressing. I hate getting on the bandwagon late.

An actual bottomless pit. My computer will run out of memory before I make it to the very first video. It feels like I've been scrolling for hours and there's no end in sight. Is there even a beginning or is it infinite? I'm scared to ask Alexa who was the first Tiny Desk. That's gonna lead me to a "who was the first first homo sapien"-ish vortex of speculation where the answer changes depending on who you ask and there's only theories.

Prime example, you just busted this whole thing wide open. The first Tiny Desk will only lead me to the last All Songs Considered, and when I reach the beginning of that I'll find its probably derivative of some other event, it's a fucking loop man. I don't think any of this is real and it's all made up in my music loving mind. Chaka Khan is a legend, what the fuck is she doing performing at a desk?

Final answer: I'm hallucinating.
