Congress is full of liars on both sides of the aisle. I wish we could get rid of all the cheats and liars no matter what party they belong to. The sad thing is we wouldn't have a government left.

That's just a cop-out argument. Reality directly contradicts it. There is only one party that has demonstrated itself to be not only willing to tolerate corruption but to actively encourage it.

Pretending to some kind of equivalency is either just lazy thinking or trying to somehow justify and excuse what the Republican party has done to itself.

We will have no government left if people tell themselves that this is true. It's not.

There is nothing that can be done as far as I know.
Santos's lies are insane and hopefully, this is his one and only term in office but it's silly to think that a Republican should leave office when Democrats let liars like Senator Blumenthal ( said he fought in Vietnam) and Biden ( too many lies to count) stay in place. It isn't like he was with Hillary dodging bullets on the tarmac in Bosnia, or with Blumenthal when he personally saved that Vietnamese village, right? The Republicans have a bigger share of liars but a lie is a lie.
 
So are you saying if you do it less it's ok? I loved Hillary and voted for her any chance I had, but yes she lied. I liked Senator Warren but she lied. I do wonder if she ever found out who she knocked out of college by claiming to be an American Indian to see how their life was affected. I think if people demand Santos resign they should want all liars to resign. I am an American Texan, one of the white Hispanics the Democrats have turned on.
