I know not one, but TWO men who went through sex change operations who became the sex they're attracted to - meaning they were both women attracted to men who became men, who are still attracted to other men.

Clearly they didn't change to make it "easier" - quite the opposite. They changed to become themselves more fully.

i seen a case where a man got a sex change and still married another woman, he wasn't gay he was just uncomfortable in his own skin. he just never felt right. he was always attracted to women and when the chance came up for him to date another man he still sead no.

he just wanted to look the way he feels and he never regretted his decision

Am I making sense?

NO

None would go through a change sex for social aceptance. And facts show that society doesn't acept transgendered people easily.

There have been a lot of studies about how psycological gender sometimes doesn't match physical gender. I wouldn't only promote aceptance of transgendered people but I would try to make the sex change more easy.

What exactly are you asking? Are you seeing a trend in teenagers having gender reassignment surgery or something?

I "KIND OF" (some things may be just a fluke LOL)
think everything happens for a reason.

So im in the middle on this subject... I think theres a reason you were born a male instead of a female or vice versa, but then again, maybe theres a REASON you can't help but feel like you need to be a different gender or maybe some people are just MEANT for that to make their lives feel and be complete. Idk I can honestly say this has me unsettled but do what makes you happy

There are a couple storys I can think of where Transexuals get an earlier start in life with hormone therapy.. One I recall was as young as 16.
I guess before testosterone fully kicks in, and boogers everything up.

Which is perfectly legal, albeit there is no snip-snip until they turn 18.

I guess now in a 'progressive' society, if mom and dad catch lil john playing with dolls, dress up, and tea parties more often than anything, they're probably more inclined to seek out a doctor instead of send the kid to military school only to avert the situation until it comes back at a less convienent time in life.

There are also those with Klienfeldter syndrome or are hermaphrodite. They will need a treatment as well. And gender reassignment this is the way to go.

The part that gets me, is all that only to just 'look' like a woman. Nothing else will be the same. Not even the million dollar vag is going to perform the same.
But with many, as long as their obhorrent cock is gone (and they do feel this way), it seems to be enough for them.

The situation is not always superficial. They do what they can to weed out the 'buffalo-bill' population in the process.

But I'm noticing that sex-changes (I'm talking about the process and not the people that have gone through it) are getting more and more exposure and I'm just expressing my concern for the future generation that might grow up seeing such a method as a form of escapism from the fact that they're not "normal" and straight...

How redamndiculous, and SHAME ON YOU!

You spout the same garbage that bible beaters have for years about gays. That is, if you treat them with respect, or mention homosexuality in sex-ed, or make life ok to be out and gay, you are promoting homosexuality and thus children will grow up thinking it's ok to be gay, and an explosion of gay people will be imminent.

Your "point" or argument is utter nonsense!

I don't know what you deal is. I wanted to discuss something and I clearly stated in the beginning how unfamiliar I am with these topics. Why respond with short sudden answers?

I will try to elaborate a little more, but English it's not my first language.

You are messing two different things, homosexuality and gender identity. Maybe some gay guys could think that their lives could be more easy as women but at the end gay guys will consider themselves as men. For most people physic genre and psychological genre are the same, but there are some people, men and women, for wich don't, that people should be given help. The risk about gay men or lesbian women getting change sex just for social acceptance is practically 0 and if there is anyone who would contemplate such possibility they would have to go through a very intense and long psychological observation. Also watch around you, the reality about transgendered people, they are really discriminated by society and sometimes even in GLB community.

I was mean yes, it was because:

1- Your post suggested that gay people would contemplate such a stupid option just for fitting in society.

2- Your post was insensitive about the issues of a group that already deal with a lot of problems (and it's not the first time I see that behavior in your posts). Supportive acts for them are welcome not a problem.

Please forgive me if I don't make a lot of sense and "here's a fun emoticon to show that I'm not saying the above in an aggressive tone (*8*)"

It's a very long, expensive process. People have to be diagnosed with gender dysphoria and go through long term counseling from a qualified psychotherapist. A surgeon would need a referral from the patient's therapist before they would agree to perform the surgery.

I view transgenderism as a medical birth defect that can be cured if caught early enough and with the proper technology. There are studies showing significant differences in transgender brains from "cis-gendered" male or female brains, particularly in the size of the hypothalamus. Differences have also been caught in brainwave scans, as well.

Also: I agree with you on the "genderless child"; I understand that societal gender norms can be unhealthy, but when you begin to demonize *biological gender*, that's where you lose me.

^ok, I'm glad you realized it was a stupid lame joke. And I think it wasn't even funny (and I have a very dark and sarcastic sense of humour), but everyone has got their own humour sense.

Now, have you realized yet that the idea behind this thread wasn't more brilliant than the thread I pointed?
