Yup. It's easy for someone to say "well it didn't mess up MY friendships, so if it messes up YOUR friendship , you're doing it wrong." People are just different. Just because it works for some people doesn't mean that's the way it is or should be for everyone. Expectations are different. I suppose it IS a matter of perceptions, or at least how emotional a person you are.
For me, when I'm really good friends with someone, I care a lot about them, if you threw sex into the mix, it would just seem like a relationship, and if it wasn't? That would throw me off emotionally, especially if the other person's not on the same page.
Maybe sex with any old friend could work out for me, but sex with a best friend would seriously complicate shit.
