Well, now that I got your attention...

I know there is a big group here on JUB deeply interested in icelandic politics .

Well, this last week has been pretty hectic and news of scandal and corruption in the city council of Reykjavík, Iceland's capital, has had many consequences. The old majority in the city council broke up, the mayor had to step down and the local gossip is that he will be forced to resign as the head of his party in the city.

But in more interesting news... The new mayor, Dagur B. Eggertsson, comes from the city's second largest party and well, he is an eye candy.

I have to say, as an avid follover of my local politics, that they are much more fun to follow when someone like him is in command

We don't have a mayor in Eau Claire. Just a city council.

I think Dagur is much more attractive than Hugh Grant. If I get to Iceland again, I'll have to attend a city council meeting and see for myself!
