Sexless Relationship?

It's possible. Obviously, old people still stay together even when the sex has ended.

Anything is possible, you just have to find a like minded person.

But try it first, you might like it.

Again, it depends on the people. If neither partner wants sex, is interested in sex, or believes it to be important to a relationship, then both partners will have a fine relationship even if sex is removed.

But if one wants sex and the other doesn't, then the relationship probably won't work with both people maintaining their positions.

Most peopels ee sex with a loved one as the ultimate form of expressing love, by making their partner feel good through the most physically intimate way.

But there are many other powerful ways to express love. It just depends on if the individuals care about the physical aspect or not.

Hey Cindy,

Mate anythings possible...and no its not necessary. Its your choice and your right to make that choice. And I'm sure that you wont be the only one out there thinking that way.

But just be open to love in all its shapes and forms.

Its never a wise thing to be so concrete about something that you forgo the chance to be happy safe and secure with some one because you cant consider both sides of a discussion. To walk away from love without compromise is a loss thats too great to be worthwhile.

Stick by your values, stick by your instincts. Never settle for second best or feel pressured or forced into anything.

Just be willing to listen and to respect both yourself and your partner. Because sometimes love lets you overcome fears and barriers that you never thought possible.

You just have to be open to all the possibilities the world might offer you.

I was dating a guy once who was on a variety of meds which completely killed his sex drive. This lasted some time, which basically meant our relationship was sexless. He did get me off once in a while, though, which was nice.

What you describe is called friendship and it can be as profound as passion.

...but a 19 year old with no interest in sex. Doesn't sound healthy. Have you discussed this with your doc? If you are on medication, a diminished libido can be a direct side effect, but otherwise, your glands and brain should be working overtime at your age.

Haha, I'm a pretty horny guy...and I know I like men (alot), but for some reason anal sex isn't all that appealing to me. Call me strange, but that's my story and I'm stickin' to it. I'm glad that *maybe* there are some people out there who feel the same.

There are more things than anal sex two guys can do together. You can jack off each other, you can give your partner a blow job or be on the receiving end of one, you can jack off next to each other, you can fondle the balls of your partner while he jerks himself off and tickle his anus. You can tongue kiss and cuddle, etc. Anal sex is just the penetration version of sex - I just started a new relationship and we talked about having anal sex one day. But we will wait and develop the relationship before going that far. Still we had two earth-shattering orgasms within one day from jacking off each other. That was real nice. *dreams*

Any relationship in which I get involved is likely to be strictly platonic for a LONG time before any bedroom-stuff happens, if it ever does.

But then, I'm strange like that.

I can't quote chapter and verse here, but in one very comprehensive study back in the 90s, 48% of gay men said they "rarely" or "never" participated in anal sex.

That's half of us.

So yes, I think that MAYBE there are some people out there who feel the same.

I wasn't really itching to get into anal sex when I first came out. And, as it turns out, I didn't. I mainly stuck with manual and oral. But, as I got to know guys better, I added anal to the mix. And you know what? It ain't half bad. :) So maybe you'll get there someday too. And even if you don't, not being interested in anal doesn't condemn you to a sexless relationship.

Haha.

I don't mind giving handys and bjs and such, I just dont like the thought of others touching me below the waist. I'm a strange bird, I know.

Strange.....no.

Principled, determined... yes.

And don't ever feel the need to justify your feelings or emotions mate. They are the very things that make you you. They define you and show the value that you posses.
They are the things that others see and love. They are you.

More power to you mate.

It is perfectly possible. I live with my best mate and ex B/F we will kiss and cuddle, be naked around each other and love each other very much. We decided that we are not interested in having sex with each other and since we did that our friendship has deepened. I call him my best mate rather than partner because we are both free to do exactly what we want and with whom and can do so with the other's blessing.

I coudnt picture my self having a sexless relationship i think it would be boring.

You know when you said you had no interest in sex, I gave you the benefit of the doubt. There are a few rare souls who are truly asexual. However, if you don't mind touching but don't like to be touched, I'd say that's quite possibly something you should consider talking to a professional about. I'm not saying it's the case with you, but this is not an uncommon set of feelings for people who have been sexually abused.
