Just chatting to a guy who stated that he was pansexual.
I asked him what he meant by that and he said he was attracted to people regardless of their sex.
Oh, I said, so you are bisexual then.
He was most upset by the notion that I wouldn't buy into his bullshit notion of fragmented sexuality.
As far as I am concerned sexuality is very very simple. You are either gay (attracted to the same sex), bi (attracted to both/either) or straight (attracted to the opposite sex).

One option would have been to ask him in what way he defined as pansexual, not bisexual. You know, engage in discussion and learn something instead of thrusting your definitions onto him.

It's his identification of himself so it would seem that it matters to him.

I could be wrong but I think pansexual includes attraction to trans people of all kinds and just about everyone else with a sexual response.

But a lot of people don't recognize trans people. Particlulary the British and the Trump government who believe only in binary gender based on prmary sex organs.

If they can assure me that they are only interested in human beings who have reached legal age...I don't care about how they define themselves.
