Maybe Shakira is not the best singer, but among all the famous female artists like Christina, Beyonce, I think I love the lyrics of her songs best, she's really talented in it.
Who would sing anything hotter than "Baby I would climb the Andes solely, to count the freckles on your body" and "Underneath your clothes, there's an endless story, there's the man I chose, there's my territory..."? Besides her "Hips don't Lie", she's fabulous.

Agreed. And if she was making english versions of the Volume 1 songs, she should have made an attempt at a english No. The lyrics and melody of that song are so great, pity she chose Las De La Intuicion, En Tus Pupilas and Dia Especial.

I have to agree that was one GREAT GREAT song. I can't belive it didn't get the airplay it deserved. But Shakira (like many other artists) have fallen into the dance/pop category where she has to be half naked and dancing seductively. Its kinda sad since Shakira has roots in latin rock & singer/songwriter. I guess America isn't ready for her ballands.

PS. ANother song that was awsome that didnt get the airplay was "Don't Bother"

When i first heard it i was like WOW. Its such a true song. I can so relate.

Not sure why it was not a hit. I guess because Beyonce didnt sing it.
