Then explain the video provided by the activists that was on every single American newscast last night.

Those were by Turkish journalists who were already on the ship from the beginning. Access to the activists have not been allowed since the take over.

I'm sorry, did I miss your "Shame on Muslims" thread the other day when they slaughtered 80 Ahmadis worshiping and then again yesterday when they attacked a hospital and killed 12 more?

http://pakistaniat.com/2010/05/31/lahore-hospital-terrorists-ahmadis/

Why would acts of violence by Pakistanis bring shame on Muslims? Does acts of violence by Christians or Jews bring shame on all Christians and Jews? And how is that relevant to criticism of the manner in which the ship was intercepted?

One place they should be hollering for justice is the surrounding states which attacked Israel and started the refugee problem. Those states attacked Jews within their borders without provocation, seizing their property, hounding them out. Those Jews became refugees -- and Israel took them all in. But the other side in that conflict didn't take responsibility for the refugees they'd caused by their attack.

Not sure where you got your schooling, but even everyday Israelis don't believe in the version of history you posted above. How bizarre are Americans! The partition plan of Palestine that the UN had put forth was essentially Western Europe, America and the Soviets imposing its will on the indigenous people, as at that time, most of the world was still under Satanic colonialism, and the UN had only 50 something members, and to get the two-thirds majority vote, the US had to pressure many governments with threats to aid cut and diplomatic sanctions to get their vote for the partition itself. Regardless of history, there is no excuse for ethnic cleansing of Palestine, and none for occupation and decades of humiliation. I think Americans are not very sympathetic to the Palestinian cause because it may make them feel guilty about what they did to the Native Indians. As for terrorism, as I said above, if it was not for terrorist groups like Irgun and Hagannah, Israel probably wouldn't even exist today.

In the words of one of my country's heroes, David Ben Gurion:
“If I were an Arab leader, I would never sign an agreement with Israel. It is normal; we have taken their country. It is true God promised it to us, but how could that interest them? Our God is not theirs. There has been Anti - Semitism, the Nazis, Hitler, Auschwitz, but was that their fault? They see but one thing: we have come and we have stolen their country. Why would they accept that?”

All said and done, there is hardly any point it seems like in discussing Israel with Americans. Israelis are more critical of their own government than Americans are of Israel. Israel will and can get away with anything, and the US is in no position to do anything, for better or for worse. It is the only country that can spy on the US, get caught, and can get away with it.

You mean since the arrests of criminals and impounding of their vessels.

And as even the French noted, they were provacateurs, not "activists": they went intending to have violence.

He was highlighting the hypocrisy of you and others here. I'm not surprised that you can't understand that.

Stop calling them activists. How about calling them what many of them are: criminals. They violated international law by attempting to break through an established blockade. They became violent when the Israelis attempted to turn them back, and then were shocked when their violence was met by violence.

Your hypocrisy and hate is amazing; I never thought in my life that I would so someone whose moral compass is so bankrupt and so corrupted by his hate of his fellow human beings.

International law??? Where have you been? Most scholars outside of the bubble called USA believe the blockade to be illegal.

Yeah, like you would know what morality is. As much as you think you know my views, I also have taken note of your views, you are an apologist for imperialism of every design, and what is moral about that? And, I have yet to register outrage from you on the plight of the millions of Iraqis and Afghans directly due to the world's biggest terrorist organisation.

Forget Israel and my morality, why don't you take a look at your own history and the history of your own military and then calibrate your own moral compass instead of worrying about mine:

You know what I find most amazing about that is the attempt to regulate warfare through international law. Some things are good to do. Avoid too much bombing of hospitals, don't engage in genocide, don't use chemical weaponry, etcetera. But this notion that we can regulate warfare so civilian populations don't feel it at all (or, more realistically, so civilian populations feel it as little as possible) is as dangerous as it is foolish.

Nice point. It bears a certain resemblance to the ends of the Middle Ages and into the colonial period where rulers would pick a time and place and send their armies to meet. The problem is that everyone seems to think that rich states have to abide by it (U.S., Israel), but the poor and oppressed don't (Palestinians).

It's not so much asymmetrical warfare as asymmetrical war morals.

Well, we have come far from the Middle Ages, and especially after the Holocaust, WWII, Hiroshima and Nagasaki, etc., we do require countries that have hundreds of imperialistic military bases abroad, who routinely support tyranny abroad for their own strategic interests and yet go to war to supposedly give people "freedom", etc, etc, to behave responsibly, and avoid civilian causalities, especially since warfare is asymmetric, and usually between hegemonic forces and resistance.

I think your military is the world's most barbaric for all the civilians and wedding parties the trigger happy flunkies like to bomb.

So you're just part of the "Hate America" crowd. Most Americans appreciate the fact that we have such a dedicated and professional military. Men and women who volunteer to wear the uniform of the United States for very little pay and at great risk to themselves.

We just celebrated Memorial Day. A day when we reflect on the sacrifices made by those people so that ignorant people, such as you appear to be, can make asinine statements about them freely.

There has never been a military that has been so powerful and has used its power so sparingly in the history of the world. Because of our military, millions of people throughout the world are free of oppressive dictators.

I like the fact that they kill terrorists. Maybe you have a problem with that. Just as a suggestion. If you don't want your wedding to be bombed, don't invite terrorists as guests.

And as to Israel. We've seen the video of these savages attacking them. I hope that the Israelis have learned an important lesson from that. No warnings next time. Just sink them and let them drown like the rats that they are.
