Showtime showed all of last seasons episode before the start of season 2 and I was hooked after watching episode 1...

You wanna see what will happen next to this CRAZY-ass family...William H. Macey is a brilliant Actor and he deserves an Emmy. He's paid his dues in the industry and its time to see him win awards...

Whoever cast the roles deserves an Emmy...Every actor is perfect for their part...

I spent the weekend and this morning watching all the episodes up to date on On Demand. I really enjoy this show.

My only complaint is if the show can show, Fiona, Karen, and Victoria getting fucked, then why can't they show Kash, Ian or some other gay couple getting fucked too? It would be more realistic to me.

because the actresses that play Fiona, Karen and I think you mean Veronica are all over 18. The actor who plays Ian turned 18 after the started filming the 2nd season...I believe from episode 6 on he is 18, so I'm sure they will start showing more with him.

The only storyline that I don't like right now is Debbie. Just uncomfortable to watch.

Oh, I love Frank's mom. She's funny and badass at the same time. Now I admit, I may be a little biased--anyone that can put Frank in his place so thoroughly has my vote. That said, she did lose a couple of points when she started bashing my Sheila. No, ma'am--that does not sit well with me. I am glad that Sheila sacked up and defended herself...and finally kicked Frank's ass out. Now, Shameless, make with the naked Lip and Ian already!

Yeah I loved her as well what a bat shit crazy ole broad sorta makes you think that is how the Nurse Ratched character she played in "Cuckoo's Nest"would have turned out as an older women, gotta love her.
I did not care for the way she treated Sheilia but then her love for the grand kids was touching two complete sides of her coin.
Having her on the show will be a hoot.

So I just recently started watching the UK Original Version....and I'm just about done watching the premiere of the new US version on Showtime. Obviously the pilot is the exact same as the pilot of the UK like most UK--->US remakes...but the one thing I'm not digging about the remake....William H. Macy. I'm just not buying him in the role....anyone else have an opinion?

Everyone else fits the roles pretty well...and my goodness Justin Chatwin has a killer body...love it...and I've always loved Emmy Rossum. I'll definitely give it a chance, seeing that I plan on continuing watching the UK version as well (I'm only on the 4th episode of the first series)

Also I think they did a pretty good job at casting. It might just be me but Emmy Rossum and the Original Fiona look a like and they did a great job with Casting Justin Chatwin he is sexay. Also the guys who play Lip in both version are pretty cute to

I would...it's good...you'll definitely see a lot of the same stuff you see in the US version, but they really are two different shows I feel.

Yea he is being a bit more devious than the U.K version and I didnt like the U.K version of shelia I think they portrayed her to neurotic all the way done to how the actress spoke


Also i do think william h macy and emmy rossum should be nominated because they really make the show

I just love Gammy! She tells it like it is and holds nothing back! She is hilarious! I think Frank has screwed up with Shelia. Lip asking Karen to get an abortion was a bit much for me.

I have been watching both shows for a few weeks now.

I have watched the second series of the US....not the first one...I didn't have showtime then and I'm not sure how to get the episodes. I have watched the first five episodes of UK series 1.

Who character is better in what version so far?

UK - Lip (cuter too)
Steve
Kev

US - Ian
rest of the kid Gallagher's
Veronica
Shelia
Frank

characters I love in both versions: Fiona
characters I hate: Karen in both, Granny

I think that's all the major characters. I think the UK one is more realistic but I love the US one too. So...I don't have a favorite though I do love British people.

I'm not sure where they're headed with the Fiona/Steve aka Jimmy story line but part of me is rooting for her to look for something better than a lying thief.

Part of me is also thinking she's not doing that great without him either.

Joan Cusack as Sheila is adorable and funny as hell. I hope they don't write her out now that Frank is on her shit list.

I tried watching a episode of the uk version, and didnt like it.But I love the US version, I love Fiona she is a great actress and the grandmother is funny to. I like the sibling rivalry between Lip and Ian, the show is still really fresh and makes me want to watch every week. I started watching season two so I was wondering who's little black baby is that.
