Except for the annoying nasal, husky dragging solo parts... just the bubble-gum upbeat chorus part.

The lyrics:

SE TELEFONANDO

Lo stupore della notte
Spalancata
Sul mar
Ci sorprese che eravamo sconosciuti io e te
Poi nel buio le tue mani
D'improvviso
Sulle mie
É cresciuto troppo in fretta
Questo nostro
Amor
Se telefonando io potessi dirti addio
Ti chiamerei
Se io rivedendoti fossi certa che non soffri
Ti rivedrei
Se guardandoti negli occhi sapessi dirti basta
Ti guarderei
Ma non so spiegarti
Che il nostro amore appena nato
È già finito
Se telefonando io volessi dirti addio
Ti chiamerei
Se io rivedendoti fossi certa che non soffri
Ti rivedrei
Se guardandoti negli occhi sapessi dirti basta
Ti guarderei
Ma non so spiegarti
Che il nostro amore appena nato
È già finito

And the English translation:

The amazement of the night
wide open
On the sea
We were surprised that you and I were unknown
Then in the dark your hands
suddenly
On mine
It grew too fast
This ours
Amor
If by calling I could say goodbye
I'd call you
If I saw you again, I am sure you are not suffering
I would see you again
If looking at you in the eyes I could tell you enough
I'd watch you
But I can't explain you
May our newborn love
It's already over
If by phone I wanted to say goodbye
I'd call you
If I saw you again, I am sure you are not suffering
I would see you again
If looking at you in the eyes I could tell you enough
I'd watch you
But I can't explain you
May our newborn love
It's already over

^ Even I am incapable of English broken that way

Sorry, that's what my google translate came up with. Looking at the context of the song, I'm sure a good human translator could do much better. For instance the line translated as "I am sure you are not suffering" probably means something more like :"I hope you're not hurting" or "I'd like to make sure you're not in pain."

No, what the lyrics say is more like "if I were sure that it would not make your suffer".

The telephone's not answered
So many times you'll call
For many different reasons
So many tears will fall before

You find your love before
It comes knocking at your door
Before you know for sure
This is what you were waiting for

So many fears will haunt you
Deny them or regret
Some men will make you want to
And you will not forget before

You find your love before
It comes knocking at your door
Before you know for sure
This is what you were waiting for

There's a story of a man who loved too much
He ended up inside a prison cell
You've got to want to give to get it
Or you could land up in the same suspicious hell
It's happened before (Before Before Before)
It's happened before (Before Before)

Coincidence and patience
Will mend this fatal flaw
Though it may seem a long wait
Others have been here before

You find your love before
It comes knocking at your door
Before you know for sure
This is what you were waiting for

One day, when the phone starts ringing
You'll answer to the words you're longing for
No tears, no trade, no prison cell
Whatever you need, he will return more
It's happened before (Before Before Before)
It's happened before (Before Before)

You find your love before
It comes knocking at your door
Before you know for sure
This is what you were waiting for

You find your love before
It comes knocking at your door
Before you know for sure
This is what you were waiting for

It's happened before (Before Before Before)
It's happened before (Before Before)

I have resisted posting it, because the intro part is hideously intolerable :vomit: and it is only the chorus that has occasionally been looping in my brain for the past few days anyway... but.

This is perhaps the most conflicted I've ever felt about a song. When I heard it on the radio in the early morning several days in a row when it first came out, half asleep, I liked the upbeat-sounding, catchy tune. Then I started paying attention to the lyrics-- Uh oh, it's about a school shooting-- and I suddenly felt guilty about liking the song. I still can't listen to it without it triggering that inner conflict. BTW, watch the video for the hot guys if nothing else. There's lots of eye candy in this group.
