Hello all! :D

I wanted to start this thread for all of us to share our favorite home remedies to various ailments of all types. Feel free to post yours.

It never seens to fail that when the weather starts to change every single autumn, that I seem to catch a sore throat and cold. So here is a recipe for a toddy that may help cut the pain of a sore throat.

JDCNow's Sore Throat Toddy
Get you several lemons from the grocery store, you'll need about 2 lemons per half-cup serving. Cut the lemons in quarters, ans squeeze the juice into your cup (take out the seeds, if you like). (Note >> I like to use real fruits, not the bottled juices from concentrate.)
Get a bag of soft peppermint candy (not the hard kind, but SOFT). you'll need 2 soft peppermints. Just throw them into the lemon juice. They will dissolve on their own. Add about 1 to 1-and-a-half tablespoons of honey to taste. I personally don't drink, but those of you who do may replace the honey with about 1 shot glass worth of your favorite alcoholic beverage, (please enjoy responsibly). You can drink it either chilled with a light amount of ice, or heat it in the microwave for 15 seconds/until warm.

Enjoy temporary relief from store throat pain.

hot soup and bread??:confused::confused::confused:

you can even use the cheap Lidl soup [dont like gro-TESCO] @P[-X

You have got to be kidding!! Does that work? I would so puke all over. Or is that the point?
No puking isn't the point.

It does work for me. A pint of pickle juice, kosher if possible.

I love the stuff. I hear it also cleans one out.

Mmmm!

You know, it makes me giggle sometimes. We shove our cocks into a shit-hole, but I tell someone I drink pickle juice and it's 'ewww'.

Homemade Blackberry Vinegar for a sore throat,
Soak the blackberries in malt vinegar for 9 days stirring each day , then heat and ad sugar cool and bottle.
lb blackberries to 1 pint vinegar to lb sugar, lasts once it is bottled ,i am still using last years it really works.

Here you go.

To prevent foggy mirror after your 50 minute shower, rub small amount of shave foam (not Gel based) on the mirror about the size of a quarter, with your hand. Polish it in with paper towel. The next shower your mirror will be fog free!

If you suffer from razor bump like I do, then try this: dissolve about 3-4 asprin in 2 tbsp of water, and apply to the affected areas with a cotton ball. I find it lasts 2-3 days. Helps calm the irritation.

Get Rid of Cold

Cup of Pickle juice
Tea spoon of salt
Half of tea spoon of Sugar
Shot of Orange Juice
A drop of hot sauce

Drink it and take a nap

For relief from a severe head cold, a big bowl of Hot and Sour soup, with extra hot. It fills the tummy, clears the head, and makes life seem worth living again.

If you have a stuffy nose, I always find that showering in a steamy shower, or running makes it go away, if only for a little bit.
