Anybody ever used that? I bought a little bottle and shaved this morning.

I used three drops like it says on the label, but it seemed not enough for my whole face, the skin didn't feel different and the stubbles weren't softer :confused:

Does anybody prefer that over foam, gel, cream or soap?
 
I vaguely recall that I enjoyed using the shaving oil, but since my recollection of it isn't that good and I have a beard now, it must not be worth writing home about.
 
Use baby oil, I'm not even kidding it's almost exactly the same thing, and it's dirt cheap. I shave my head with it and it shaves like a dream; just make sure to really splash it on, don't be stingy with it. Also put less pressure on your skin than you would with a cream, the oil will soften your skin up so it makes nicks easier.
 
I have tried everything throughout the years, including the oil and many expensive options along with my partner. The best thing ever for shaving, we have concluded, is Pantene conditioner for dry hair and the Gillette 3 blade razors, any more than 3 blades is complete sillyness in my opinion. This combination is great because the conditioner is really inexpensive, though the blades are not, but we have found that because the product is less invasive to your skin and the blade, you can use the razor for a longer time and can get more shaves out of it. Furthermore, the conditioner leaves your skin feeling very soft and because you can see the stubble through the conditioner you can get a better shave. Also, always shave before showering, that way you can use a good product to wash your face in the shower and also clean and sanitize any cuts you may suffer during shaving.
 
I've used it in the past - but honestly, for me the best shave is with a Gilette Mach 3 (I think that is the newest) and a good shaving cream. The one that I really love right now is from The Art of Shaving - it is expensive so I only use it on occasion. I will usually just use an extra moisturizing shaving cream.
 
For as long as I can remember I have used a twin blade, regular soap, and shaved in the shower.

Aerosol, is full of air, you are paying for bubbles.

Oil will cause the hair to "stick" to the blades, as a previous poster has stated.

Shaving soap is again mostly air, and you need a brush, and if that is not high quality and have not steamed or heated your face not very effective.

Just bar soap, be it Ivory (kind of soft, lots of air), coast (deodorant soap), irish spring (dedorant soap), or whatever bar soap, even hotel bar soap!

After shaving in the shower and washing your face very well, use a "drug store brand" moisturizer.

DON'T USE NAIR OR A HAIR DIPILATORY ON YOUR FACE! TOO HARSH!

IF USING IN CROTCH, BE CAREFUL.

It says to test in a spot, do test a day before, just a drop or two on your inner thigh...leave for the amount of time and WIPE off, follow instructions.

If you are doing your crotch, once applied DO NOT RUB! Wipe away, DO NOT RUB! Shower, follow instructions.



Don't bathe in cologne or aftershave, a big turn off. Use just a touch.
 
Second time that I used the oil. Seems as if I just shave my skin without anything on it :E
 
Maybe you should use a new blade, lol... that's the other thing about the oil.. it seems to dull the blades sooner...
 
II have used it in the past.
I found to get a realy close comfortable shave with it or any kind of shaving product you have to really wet your face with very warm to hot water for at least a minute then apply your shaving product and let that sit for a while as well.
With the shaving oil, I always use more than what is recomended. The type I have is clove based, has a very pleasant scent and works very well. I use it when I want a very close shave.
With whatever is left on my face I rub it in all over as a moisturizer.
