Hello everyone,

I've got a problem that when i shave my penis, bum and around that area i am always left with little rased lumps around the hair folicules and in places that don't even seem to have hair, these lumps don't seem to have gone down much since i stopped shaving and i was wondering if it's a problem or something relativly normal. I think they might just be clogged hair folicules but i just want to see if anyone has and advice.

it happens to me too whenever i shave...personally i hate shaving, but my boyfriend loves it when im shaved down there...so every now and then i shave to surprise him...but yeah, i get that too...u just gotta moisturize regularly after u shave...its just skin irritation and razor burn...a lil oil free moisturizer usually helps for me...

No one gave you this good newes before you shaved your genitals. It is what happens. That is why you naturally have the pubic hair. Don't shave and the problem will disappear. Since pubic hair grows so slowly, it will take a while.

The red bumps are caused when the cut hair curls as it grows under the surface of the skin. I have this trouble when shaving my neck. I use lotion, and heated shave gel, a brand new razor every time and hot warm water. Takes me a while to shave but it is the only method that I have found that works.

as the hair is cut the skin heals traping the hair, as it grows it hits the healed skin and curls up causing redness and sometimes pimple like infection... it really sux... what --o2-- said is true... dont use a razor esp on your ass cheeks!! it takes me a week to recover on ass cheek bumps and it looks awful... my ass makes me money, i use a simple trimmer set on low, i do shave my anus tho as it seems to be use to it... hairs grow in direction, and i recommend going with the grain for minimal inflammation.

you may also like to experiment with a hair removal cream, i personally like being smooth and love the feeling of being wet and slippery, it is erotic.

i was also told tea tree oil on your skin an hour b4 you shave can help... witch hazel also.
