Shaving pubes?

I wonder if shaving your pubic hair is more common in certain countries. I have no statstical data but my observations on here and other gay sites is that shaved pubes seem much more common among Scandinavian and Germany guys, maybe British too, than among guys from France, Italy and Spain. For Australians and Americans it seems more evenly divided between shaved and natural. Any comments, opinions or, better yet, data on the pubic shaving practices by nation?

^It's becoming more common here in .za amongst the younger (under 40) crowd.

I'd guess the bulk of .za boys are trimming and/or manscaping, but quite a few are shaving everything off and my casual research shows an increase in this trend.

Some guys are in to trimming pubes.. not sure why.. and some guys are in to the totaly shavng pubes.. not sure why..

Hell, pubic hair is wonderful... it holds such a great scent.. and it' a beautiful part of a guy body.
Fashiions change over time though.. JUst with that guy would shave that part of thier body.
Triming, well I may understand.. But shaving, it's a bad thing.

At least from what I observe in the lockeroom, in the USA there is definitely a generational effect. Older guys (like me), are almost never shaved and are rarey trimmed. As the age drops, you see more manscaping. The guys in there 20's are almost always closely trimmed, and fairly often shaved. One exception is the Asian students (from Asia, not USA born), who always seem to have a full growth of pubes.

Even though I'm older, I always trim, and ocassionaly shave.

I think some of it has to do with generations too...

I grew up in the 1970's, so hairy was the accepted way men should be.

None of the guys that I knew ever shaved their bodies.

I love running my hands over hairy chests, and legs. A hairy ass.....heaven to me! Burying my nose in a thick bush.....still one of the best things about giving a blowjob for me.

Others prefer the smoothness of skin.....I think it's simply a matter of what you like...
