Hello you lovely jubbers, I hope you're all well...

I was wondering if I could pick those hard working brains of yours

I have a job interview tomorrow and I am about to go have a shave, now I have started getting a pretty nasty shaving rash.

Does anyone know of any high street things you can buy that aren't as well known that help in pre/post shaving?

Thanks y'all x

ouchie, uummmm as i am a girl i only really suffer from this on my legs hehehe

dont clog the pores with anything cream based.

i am not sure if there is anything you can actually do to get rid of it, it needs to go away on its own.

(if i am wrong boys then please correct me! :D i dont have a beard problem lol)

steam your face, rinse with clean cold water, maybe try some gentle exfoliation to clear the pores.

beyond that all i can say is try not to let it affect your confidence in your interview, it happens! the interviewers will know that, it'll be fine :D

Thanks, it's weird, it's only come on the last few times I've shaved. I have had a heavy few weeks, maybe I need to lay off the beer for a bit!

It's a real bitch though, it's not so much spots, it's just sore as hell... it's a crapper indeed!!

sounds like you shaved when your skin wasnt ready for it.

hehe and yeah, little less of the beer would be good for the skin too.

just let it settle for a while, put a cool damp wash cloth on it if it stings or itches but it if its not the little "spots" like ingrowing hairs then it will go down fairly quickly

What are you using to prepare your skin before you shave and what are you shaving with (ie a disposable razor, electric razor, etc)?

One of those swanky Gilette vibrating razors.

I'm looking to buy a real electric razor, but I don't want to blow £150 if it doesn't make any difference.

i think it matters more about how you prepare your skin rather than what you shave with (for the most part)

skin of barbers with straight razors, hot damp towel to the face.

you need to open the pores, make sure the skin is clean and warm.

(works for me, but like i said....not a big beard problem lol works great for the legs though)

I only use the 2 bladed type as the comercials are what they are.No motor all by yourself with a good shave cream.Only with time can you tell what workes for you.Good luck.

lol, i use some crap shaving gel and Gillette disposable razor and i'm fine.

1. Exfoliate

2. Steam face (or just take a shower) to open pores

3. Use a brush and shaving cream

4. Use a fresh, clean razor without a million blades

5. Rinse with cool water

6. Moisturize

It went really well thanks. The job is sweet. Pays loads, NICE area... Hoping to hear back on thursday :)
