Hello all.

I don't know how common it is (pretty uncommon i think), but hair grows up the shaft of my penis, all the way to the scaring from my circumcision. It's kinda like in strips on the sides and underneath and thins out the higher it gets, but it IS REALLY ANNOYING. When I shave, I tend to break out for a few days after word, and sometimes i knick myself (OUCH!). Does anyone have any suggestions as to what kind of shaving cream, razor, etc. to make shaving my junk more comfrotable?

It may seem that way for two reasons.

- Hair feels thicker when it's stubble.

- Hormonal changes in your body make certain parts of your body grow more hair as you get older; people who shave tend to attribute this to the shaving rather than to maturing.

I'm not sure how often you shave but generally the more you shave the more used to it your skin should become. I have a few strays that grow under my penis. Luckily they don't grow very fast. Since I shave my balls often, I just run a double-bladed disposable razor under my dick and pick them up.

Way to afraid to try waxing that, and from what I understand, products like Nair are unsafe for genital use.

I googled that product and it says that's for black men's beards . .. . I haven't seen any warnings however. There are like 10 different varieties. Which one is the best for this use? Also, can you find it in a normal store like Wal-Mart or drugstores like Walgreen's?

Magic Powder works really well for some guys, but if you have sensitive skin i'd avoid it.

I wax, i find it much less of a hassle than shaving every few days. If you don't have an asprin allergy you could try Tend Skin on the area after shaving, there's also a product called benzaShave which is a shaving cream with BPO in it. I cant remember if you need an RX for it or not. i think you do, but i will check when i go into work. BenzaShave works really well for body-shaving, my ex refused to get waxed and he would get these hellish ingrown hairs. He started using benzashave and it cleared right up. It might be a little aggressive for the cock, but my ex used it down below with no problem.

Ok, so I bought a can of it at Walgreen's aka The WALL. It's the kind with aloe and vit. E (i figured that was better than the alternative, which had fragrance and shit like that gennerally makes me break out anyway). I'll probably run the test patch tommorow (since it says not to use after perspiring heavily, and i just finished exercising).

Just ran the "test patch" that it said to do on the bottle. It says to use to mix a 1/2 tsp of powder with a 1/2 tsp of water. You said to use half of what it said, so I mixed 1/2 tsp powder with 1 tsp of water. Mixing it was a pain. I expected it to form some kind of foam or cream. Instead, it was just a white liquid that was way to runny to easily "apply". Anyway, i left it on for five minutes and it didn't do anything. The hair is very much still there. Did i do something wrong?

Could be you thinned it too much. Maybe he meant to mix the proportions correctly but use a smaller amount than indicated?

I just use Shampoo (Or Axe body wash) while I'm shaving "down there" in the shower, and trim the other parts out of the shower.

For me it's all about exfoliating after I shave down there. I usually exfoliate the day after I shave using a loofa or facial scrub cream. Afterwards I apply some lotion and things are all good.

I have shaved my dick and ballls now for a few years .
My skin is very sensative, so I use Barbasole for sensative skin as well as the disposable bic shaver (yellow) for sensative skin.
I get a good shave and when finished and dried ..I used a nice moisturizing lotion with aloe IF I felt irriated which I haven't for quite some time as my body has got used to the shaving ....

i f-in give up on the magic shave powder. I tried it with the full does that the can said and IT STILL DIDN"T REMOVE A SINGLE HAIR!!! Can anyone recommend a waxing product? Keep in mind that I am removing hair almost all the way up the shaft of my penis (i would give you picture to demonstrate, but i don't have a camera).

If you can afford it, maybe you should consult a laser hair removal technician or a specialist dermatologist. It may be immediately more expensive than shaving, but it could be a permanent solution to a situation that is troubling you and is not otherwise going to go away.

just a slight update. . .

the new gillette fusion phenom razor that i got the other day is SOOOO much better on the cockels then the mach 3. I don't break out nearly as bad. It's still annoying, but it is better.
