LOL!!!!! I was reading our entire discussion between the three of us about foreskin and all that other stuff when I read Corkle's comment in the middle about strong voices and I busted out laughing so hard! I'm still laughing as I type this! Just read out entire conversation then his comment and we sound so out of place!

Hey maybe Newboy was sleeping with another straight guy and he didn't have a good singing voice so that's how he came up with this thread LOL
 
I think Fantasia Borrino cant sing. I thought she was horrible, I couldn't stand her. The one black girl that was eliminated like, four people before her, I think her name was Latoya... she was amazing. Fantasia sounds like a whining, dying cat with strepp throat.

Madonna did not sing Evita, she murdered it! If you really want to hear Evita done properly, listen to the 1976 Covington version (the original), or even Elaine Paige. That IS singing!

Madonna can sing. Britney has never sung live EVER. She can't sing in the studio either.

Fantasia can sing but the problem with her is that her voice is only suited for certain kinds of songs. She killed that American Idol vicotry song " I Beleive" i got goosebumps watching her sing it at the final. she sure can belt it. She sings with soul and emotion like Mary.

People say Mary J blige cant sing either, which i dont understand.

I have also heard people say that if a singer can't hit a high note they can't sing. That doesnt have to be the case though.

Take Macy Grey, grammy for "Best Female Pop Vocal Performance." She can't hit the high notes per say but she has a uniqiue voice and her song was fire.

People need to lighten up. I think that people's bias of an artists clouds their view of whether they can sing or not.

When Paris Hilton released " Stars are Blind" back in the summer, alot of people were saying who is this singing? Because they liked the song. Some people even said she sounded like Gwen Stefani.

I have a friend who doesn't like Paris. I played the song for her and she said she liked the song. And when i told her it was Paris singing, all of a sudden she was conflicted. Later on she came up with all these excuses as to why her voice sounds good on that track, and not giving her credit where credit is due.

Not everybody can belt it out like Celine but they do the best wth with what they can. Millions of albums couldn't be sold if people couldnt stand listenning to certain artists.

I don't even think Mariah is the best vocalist either. Yes she can hit all these ridiculous high notes but her register is so high so her voice doesnt come out pure and smooth like Whitney's. And she always seems to be reaching and breathy. And her voice cracks alot. Yet i like some of her songs.
