Shit gay guys say to their cats

Yeah, I get a kick out of them too. Some of them are hysterical. The first one I saw was 'Shit Gay Guys Say' but I posted this one because it spoke to me on a personal level. That, and I think the three of them are adorable.

Oh God, yeah. XD I treat my cats like this, too. I call one the "Ice Queen" though. >.>

Ha, I know this all too well...although some of the stuff this guy does in the video is a bit weird.

Actually, my cats talk to me.

And when I've had them, our dogs as well.

Ever since I was a kid, I've always "assigned" a different sort of cartoon voice to every animal in the house. At one point, we had three cats and two dogs and each one had they're own "voice" and personality.

I'd do all five voices at once, plus my own, so it seemed like they were talking to one another, sometimes getting along, sometimes cursing each other out.

I got so good at it that at times it almost sounded like they were talking over one another. I guess this was somewhat amazing and odd to my family, but I never thought twice about it - I thought it was was completely normal.

But, apparently it's not.

At least that's what the nice men in the white coats tell me. ;)

Cats recognize a tiny, high-pitched voice as a friendly sound and respond to it. Kissing sounds also immediately attract their attention.

When you meet a cat for the first time and want to make friends, don't go to them, let them come to you. Sit down on the floor, make yourself as low as possible, even lay on the floor and make kissing sounds and talk in a little high-pitched voice. Let them sniff your hand first before trying to pet them. They loved to be petted under their chin, and most cats love their back to be scratched.

My usual line with most cats I am petting is, "Do you love to be a love kitty, and do you love for me to love you kitty, and do you love to love me kitty? Yes you love to, you love kitty." They eat it up.

least he didn't change his voice to a little girl when he talks to his cats.

But that's the way to let cats know you are friendly. They interpret the high pitches as friendly sounds, and low pitches as threatening growls. And they talk that way too. I once read an article that "meow" is a combination of the high-pitched "e" sound, meaning, "I'm curious and might make friends with you" and the low-pitched "ow" sound, meaning, "but you fuck with me and you're dead meat."

Kitty, would you like some couscous?

Oh, yes you would. Because you're pretty.
