Short Films

On topic.

Tangled ever after. This is a follow up from the Tangled movie.

It's got some nice animation but it lacks music.

Butch Walker - Afraid of Ghosts (A Film by Noah Abrams)

Set in Mexico City sometime in the future and starring US actor Brian Petsos and Mexican actress Sofia Sisniega, SUNDAYS is an ambitious philosophical science-fiction proof-of-concept short.

The end of the world seems like a nightmare to Ben. A memory of a past life that doesn't belong to him. When Ben starts to remember Isabelle, the only love he's ever known, he realises she's missing in his life. An existential descent into confusion and the desperate need to find out the truth begins. This reality depicts a stunning, surprising and dark world. A world that is clearly not his.

The Cycle is a short film that contrasts veneer & vulnerability. Our heroes memory tortures his heart, spinning him on an emotional merry-go-round of personal conflict.

Dirty Wax and Borrowed Boards - a short film by Alex Laurel

One day I'll digitize my short films I made at UM and post them.

Surfer and photographer Ben Moon has created an incredibly touching short film documenting his life with his dog Denali, who helped him survive a fight against cancer before sadly succumbing to the disease himself. Not only is the film beautifully shot, but it's also incredibly touching, told from the perspective of Denali in the lead up to his final day. Watch the film above (but maybe not at work, if you don't want to cry in public).

"Offline Dating" is a new short film from Bafta-nominated filmmaker Samuel Abrahams which follows his actor friend, Tom Greaves, as he searches for a date in the streets of Hackney, London.

"One evening, Tom and I were discussing him being newly single, whilst downloading Happn on his phone," says Abrahams. "We started talking about the difference between the us we present online and the us that exists in real life. That night, the idea of making a part documentary, part social experiment, exploring what we had been talking about, hit me."

Call Me - A Short Film Featuring Alex Olsen Skating NYC

"The Day of My Death" a film by Gosha Rubchinskiy

a son comes out to his dad before prom. the results...heartwarming

INJA (Dog) from 2003.

Set in South Africa, less than 15 minutes. (This copy isn't HD, probably copied from a VHS tape, and credits are faded, but I can't find it anywhere else.)

Though cruelty to a dog is shown, NO ANIMALS WERE HARMED when making the film.

Slaves were not allowed to have pets in South Africa, or at least this slave owner didn't allow it. The end is definitely one of those "What goes around, comes around" things.

Probably about my #7 or #8 short film of all time, and in my top 5 of live action (i.e. not animation/cartoon).

"Crush" - A short film by Katherine Bernard starring Hari Nef

Interesting film! Thank you for sharing.

Bumping this thread because I can, AND because it needs to be bumped.
