You know what, I'm 19 and I have friends who are around 70 and above. We have things in common, and it's interesting to find out another generation's perspective on things. Not every inter-generational relationship is about money (but then again, it could be).

Parts of this thread are just surreal. It's amazing to see people who claim to be a repressed minority (gays) make some of the outlandish judgements which have been presented here. Who are you to pass judgement on someone else's relationship, just because it doesn't pass your "ick" test?

So there's a difference between them? I have a couple in my neighbourhood; he's white, and in the Air Force, and he's married to a black woman. That's a pretty big difference. There's an ex-army guy a few houses beyond them. He's white, too. He married a Japanese girl when he was in the service -- another pretty big difference. I know a lady doctor who's married to a carpenter. That's a big difference. I know a Roman Catholic who's married to a Mormon, and another Roman Catholic of Italian descent who's married to a Cambodian Buddhist, and an Evangelical Protestant who's married to a rabbi. Those are all some pretty big differences, yet each of those couples are making a go of their relationships.

It's different. Being gay is not a choice, dating someone 50 years younger than you is a choice. Just because someone has an opinion doesn't mean they're being judgmental.

Having that mindset is what I think is judgmental. "I'm right and if anyone has a different opinion then they're being judgmental." I can respect people's opinions on thinking abortion is wrong and people who think it's alright without thinking they're judgmental as long as they aren't malicious about it and degrading people for making their choice.
