I personally don't believe in piercings. But that is just me. I would suggest you decide for yourself if you really want one. It is after all your body and you will be the one "wearing" it.

Hey there!

It's hard to say which I would recommend more, because it depends on what you want from a cock piercing. To be honest, I'm also thinking of getting what would essentially be a PA someday, which would then render my cock-piercing status as an Apadravya (hole at the top and through the bottom).

But to try and answer your question, I might be more inclined to recommend the PA. It is relatively easy to heal, and not very painful. The RPA results in greater sexual stimulation for the wearer than a PA would, but it has that extended healing time.

Not to say that a PA doesn't improve stimulation as well! I've not yet had it done so I can't say for sure, but from my experience anything added into your penis head gives the tissue something extra to swell against and feel wonderful joy from.

Aw, hehe, no worries. It IS pretty intense, the IDEA of stabbing one's penis. But from what I've heard, the PA isn't more than a pinch-feeling. The RPA was a lot more than a pinch, I can tell you that lol, but I drove home immediately after, and jacked off within a couple days (which I don't necessarily recommend). The "pain" was minimal.
