Should I get circumcised?

So, I have a bit of a problem. I'm uncut, but my cockhead is really big which makes it hard for my foreskin to slide up and down my head when I'm jerking off or fooling around with someone.

The day after any sexual activity, solo or otherwise, my foreskin is always super raw and hurts.

I think I would like how it looks cut, but I am also terrified of the huge change to adjust to, having my head exposed all the time all of a sudden. It's something that cannot be reversed if I don't like it. And also, it feels really good when the foreskin is licked during oral and I'd lose that forever.

I also am a big wuss when it comes to surgery and blood. I don't know if I could handle looking at the stitches and such afterwards during the healing phase.

What do you guys think? What would you do? What is it like having a cut cock? Any other dudes cut at an older age who can give me some perspective? Just wanting to bounce ideas around.

i would say dont do it. I cant imagine changing anything on my cock, I think it would fuck with my head (no pun intended). I really think its more trouble than its worth. imo

I would say that circumcision would be the last option. I'm sure there are some products (like creams and stuff) to help you stretch the foreskin so that it isn't as uncomfortable when you are, or someone else is, stimulating your penis. As your doctor what suggestions he/she has. A tight foreskin is not uncommon, and I'm sure there are things that you can do to "loosen up" a bit.

It's really something that you would have to discuss with a urologist. From your description, it sounds like you may have a mild case of phimosis which does give medical justification for a full or partial circumcision.

To really know your options, you would need to have a physician examine your foreskin and discuss your options with you.

My foreskin is realy loose unless I'm hard. Then my mushroom head swells up and makes it difficult.

It causes enough pain after that I need to do something about it.

I was circumcised about a month ago, and man it was horrible.
Two days after the op I developed an allergic reaction to something, I developed a huge rash all over my body, I had a mild infection on my hair follicles on my face, I ended up getting a haemorrhoid from the painkillers - which I had to come off of when I had the allergic reaction so I was in a lot of pain because I had nothing to calm the pain down.
The healing was quick though, within about a week and a half the pain stopped and it was much less sensitive. Bleeding isn't bad.
A month in and I have like, two stitches left and a tiny bit of swelling.
I prefer it so much more, wanking is... different since I can't touch the glans properly but that'll be alright soon.
My foreskin was tight, it teared a few times from wanking and I have a big cock head too.
I don't regret it but you should look into any option you have before you do anything.

If it "works" but is just "tight" a steroid creme and some stretching might do the trick for you. Consult with an urogolist and stay away from those who want to force you into a circumcision.

I hesitate to do any stretching because I already have more overhang when I'm soft than I'd rather.

The doctor suggested using lube for even masturbation for a bit and see if that make any difference. I'm gonna give it a shot and see if it helps. If it doesn't, I will likely suggest getting at least a partial circumcision.

Just to clarify- the stretching exercises involve stretching the inside of the foreskin in a circular motion- similar to stretching a rubber band to make a wider circle.

The success of the stretching depends on the source of the phimosis. If it is a matter of the foreskin never having been stretched or a matter of a frenulum breve, it can be helpful. However, if the phimosis is the result of fibrous tissue or scarring, the stretching seldom works and a surgical solution may be the only option.

Non-surgical options like steroid cream and stretching is worth a try. I doesn't hurt and doesn't have the risks that surgery has.

It's a little pricey (in my opinion), but I imagine it's no more expensive than it would be to get circumcised. And maybe your insurance would cover it? Additionally, perhaps there's something out there that's similar to this Novoglan but less expensive.

I was circumcised at birth, and even though I've never known what it's like to have a foreskin, I really wish I hadn't been cut -- so I hope you're able to keep yours. My best wishes to you, buddy. Keep us up to date.

I would say absolutely, unequivocally NO! I can't imagine why you would. I hate the fact that I was circumcised and have actually begun the process of "foreskin restoration" to try to gain back some of what was taken from me without permission. At least you have a choice, but don't let other people's comments about cleanliness or appearance convince you. Decide for your own reasons, you don't want to regret it later. You can never take it back.

I went back to my doctor who said it sounds like I have some sort of physical problem with my foreskin. He thinks circumcision should be discussed as a possible option and is referring me to a urologist who specializes in adult circumcision and penile problems such as this.

I was circumcised 2 years ago at age 22 and do not regret it. The healing process (the ENTIRE process) is about a year...but the pain itself and masturbation you'll be back on track within 2 months.
