Lastnight before I got in the shower I got a wierd feeling in my right testical...it kinda felt like when u get hit in the nuts...u know?....that sharp pain that goes straight up to ur stomache?....well it was kinda like that,but it started small then it got alittle stronger...it bothered me when I would walk around beacouse my testicals would bounce around...I just had to lay down and go to sleep...

...now this morning,when I woke up I had no pain but I do feel kinda wierd,so now I'm trying to figure out what I should do...could it be a hernia?...I'm only 19 so that's what I'm thinking...I don't think it could be signs of cancer couse I've felt around and I've never felt any bumps....another problem is I have to go to work in less then an hour so I can't go to the doctor,and tomorrow is thanksgiving,so that mean I have to wait till friday,so u guys think I should wait?...I realy don't wanna go to the hospital with testicular pain.
 
I would. I went to a Doctor about a year ago because I felt a lump and it was kind of sore. Turned out to be nothing but a pimple.I felt so dumb, but the Doctor said better to be safe than sorry.
 
Once I lifted a suitcase, which was too heavy for me, I carried too far to my car. and guess what, one became swollen. By the time I had an apt with the doctor it went down, but he sure checked things out just to be sure.
 
I was getting that same thing... it was occasional...

I went to the Dr.

He asked me if I had had any back injuries... which I did... sometimes a lower back injury will cause a pinching of the nerves in your nuts causing a sudden weird pain...
 
Well, it can't be a hernia! So you can rest easy on that idea. Hernias are usually restricted to the intestines or abdominal wall. Cancer can happen to anyone at any age, but it probably isn't that! Too tight underwear perhaps? Or were you sitting in a funny position yesterday before it started yo hurt?

Just some thoughts mate!
 
Does this really sound all that serious? I mean, I've gotten a nut twisted around any number of times. It hurts like hell. But after a nice warm shower, letting it hang and some turning the pain always goes away and it feels normal again. Sure if it persists you need to see a doctor. But it just sounds like he got it turned or pulled and it hurt when he moved. It then adjusted itself back by morning and he was OK the next day. Doesn't this happen to everyone? The exact same thing happens to me two or three times a year ever since I was teenager.
 
Early epididymitis perhaps, strain perhaps. Hard to say. But normally if cancer, it is not usually painful until near the end of things.

If it persists, go to the ER. If it seems to subside over the weekend, set up an appointment and have a few things checked out.

Meanwhile, wear a jock strap for support.
 
You should get it checked out by your doctor just for piece of mind. Also, do NOT be afraid to go the ER if the pain worsens. Some of these conditions can be serious enough to warrant hospitalization or surgery. It happened to me. And at 4:00 AM!
 
I agree that since it subsided, it doesn't sound too serious. As Jayhew suggests... if it persists, I would go immediately. Torsion is a very serious problem but it would still hurt in the morning if that were the case. And yes, cancer is generally painless unless it is late stage so you can rest easy on that one.

Actually not true. Hernias can easily enter the scrotum do to an inherent weakness where the testicle goes through the abdominal wall. I've seen multiple guys with intestines in their scrotum. Normally not terribly painful, but they can be.
 
I agree that a dr. should be consulted-andyes...I do think it could be a hernia. I had one when I was 16 and it flt EXACTLY like getting kicked in the nuts. Sometimes I would have to curl up on my side while cupping my balls to keep them from hanging, since that seemed to aggravate the problem. If it is, the surgery is muck simpler than when I got mine fixed- I have a 5 inch scar, but now they poke 2 little holes, go in w/ a camera in one and tool in the other . Easy quick out-patient procedure.
 
Well I had it checked!....I went to my doctor and he sent me to the er and it turned out I have a cist?...if that's how u spell it,but nothing else just have to rest a few days and take the antibiotic
