Well as for them typically being on lesbian's cars, I'll have to agree with that, at least around here when I've seen them. I'd have to say the best example of it I saw years ago coming back from New York; there was a Ford Ranger on the highway with the rainbow sticker, and it had a few other stickers on it that related to the gay/lesbian thing. But the thing that "stuck out" the most, as it were, was the fluorescent blue 8-inch dildo sitting right in the middle of the dashboard, proudly at attention. I was laughing so hard I was thankful I wasn't driving at the time. I don't imagine either of the 2 women in that truck ever worried about where they parked their truck!
 
I think that the decision depends on the color of your car. Some colors (brown, for example) look awful with rainbow stickers. Black cars generally look good with them.

If I had a purple car, I'd totally put a rainbow on it.

And my HRC sticker is on my laptop, since I don't have a car to put it on. I have a few others around the house. Maybe I can find some room on my office door amongst all of the comics and flyers.
