If the doctor you go to see recommends circumcision without discussing alternatives, go see another doctor. Your issue can be resolved without any sort of surgery.*

*In most cases.

A doctor can prescribe a steroidal cream and warm soaks in an attempt to loosen the foreskin, and this usually does work in most cases. . .but in advanced cases, surgery may be necessary. Even then, it would only be surgery to loosen the foreskin and allow it to retract comfortably, and not necessarily a circumcision. If it's a non-extreme case, and your doctor isn't highly pro-circ, then you can maintain your foreskin if you want to.

Just know that if you do get circumcised, you won't be able to masturbate or have sex for a full 4-6 weeks. Erections will tug at the stitches and be painful for the first week-or-so until they come out, and could potentially result in damage to your penis. If you really do want to be circumcised , then at least go to a surgeon who knows what he's doing and can give you a proper cosmetic result; adult circumcisions performed by most doctors look HORRIBLE, and not at all like the guys who were cut at birth.

DON'T do it,What you're describing sounds like phimosis.there are a lot of online sites to search for that deal with this problem.

You shouldn't be worried about guys getting turned off from you... I know a lot of people who LOVE uncut dicks...

As for the cleaning, it is a bit harder to clean an uncut penis because of what you said.. but if it can be cured, non surgically, then I don't see why you should get circumcised.. Unless you don't like your dick and prefer it to be cut...

Best of Luck...

Dont do it us less there is a good MEDICAL reason for you to be cut.

There are things that will help to loosen it stated above check that out
1st.....

Maybe try and keep the skin pulled back , see how it feels to have the head exposed all the time..big decision to make, I'm glad my parents made it for me.. I love being cut

Well, the OP has phimosis, meaning that he CAN'T retract his foreskin.

see how it feels to have the head exposed all the time..

I did hear about guys who permanently retracted their foreskins, so about two years ago I decided to try it as just an experiment; to see for myself what different - if any - it actually made to have the exposed head. I figured that if I didn't like it, I could go right back to the way I was before. Surprisingly, I actually prefer having the thick, flared out head; it feels great to tug on. I also have a lot more control over my orgasm and can "edge" for hours if I want to. When I do cum, it's harder and the orgasm is more intense than it was before.
Plus, hygiene is somewhat improved, since I never have to worry about having any kind of odor, even after using the bathroom or masturbating. When you have a foreskin over the head, you have to wash right before you have sex, otherwise you will have a slight odor if you've used the bathroom before the encounter. . . And precum does smell pretty rancid if it sits in your foreskin for too long. I'm not saying it's a bad thing to have to shower, i'm just saying that foreskin hygiene is something you really have to keep up with if you're going to be sexually active. . .whereas cut or retracted guys never have to worry about it at all.

So, I figured it was something i'd only try for a week or so, but it's been over two years and I never want to go back to the way I was before.

If you are uncut it's not medically recommended to retract the foreskin and keep it there. It can cause paraphimosis, the foreskin swells behind the corona and can rerstrict blood flow to the head of the penis. It's really not pretty.

i got your problem when i was in my 40 to early 50's in my case the specialist told me it would only get worst it was beyond me how that was possible.

I bit the bullet and had it cut. the thoughts of having stitches in the head of your cock sounds a lot worse than it actually was.itsa type of thing if ou had to have it done again you wouldn't think twice

a man has to do what a man got to to

been there and done that.............................no major deal when done right

The foreskin is very similar to your lip- it is a piece of skin that has two opposing sides. The doctor cuts through both sides, removes the skin and then stitches the edges back together. That is why you have stitches.

A circumcision is major surgery. It can be done under local anesthetic but in most western countries, it is done under general anesthesia. You will go in for the surgery then you will usually be in the post-op recovery area until the anesthesia wears off. You will not be able to drive yourself home. You will probably need someone to stay with you overnight to help you take care of yourself.

You may not be able to take a shower for several days. Usually between 1-2 weeks after the surgery, you will return to the doctor to have the bandage removed. Depending on what type of stitches you have, they may need to be removed.

The surgery is painful. There is usually a considerable amount of swelling and drainage the first couple of days. It is considered elective surgery unless you have a condition that mandates circumcision. There is the risk of al the usual complications - infection, death of tissue at the surgical site, anesthesia complications, bleeding, etc.

circlist is a biased site. There's a section in there that says routine infant circ is a great thing cause women prefer cut cock. It's a biased site, based on someone who is pro-circ.

Honestly, I have yet to find any website about circumcision- for or against - that wasn't biased.

But if someone is relating their personal experience, I wouldn't necessarily negate their story just because there may be bias... anymore than I would about other sites regarding plastic surgery, chemotherapy or other medical experiences. It is, after all, their personal story about what they experienced.

circlist is a biased site.

Yes, that's true, but in this case that's completely irrelevant; It's simply information on what the procedure and the healing process is like.

If you think THAT'S bad, then try researching the accuracy of Carbon 14 dating; 99% of sources on this subject are simply devout Christian propaganda, some disguised a little more than others.

Yeah......there's no bias HERE....... #-o

Can I not and just say I did? :)

hello! made an acc just to post in this thread :)
My dick is a fucking mess, i had extreme phimosis but i am too fucking embarrassed to go to the docs about it. My foreskin is mega tight (a small hole at the opening) and is literally fused to the forehead..i really don't know what to do about it. I don't even think adult circ would work in my case :( this is making me feel like shit ALL the time. Does anyone know if it can be cured even through non-circ surgery on a foreskin that is stuck to the glans? It is a constant worry for me, to embarrassed to tell anyone about it but a damn forum and i take drugs to block the constant worry and self-loathing. heellllppp

Given your description, you do need to see a urologist for an evaluation. Not what you want to hear, but given your description is sounds like you have a situation that can lead to further complications.

It's a mystery why pediatricians don't catch these things but adult urologists see situations like yours very often and a good urologist will discuss the options with you.

Good luck and let us know how it goes.
