Why you poor little thing. Left alone in the big jungle like that with no one to protect you! And all those dirty old men just lining up wanting to slobber all over you!!!!

FerChrissake, get a grip! An older guy cruises a younger guy because he sees something beautiful (although, in your case, I think he should run for the hills.) Don't be such an aloof diva that nobody can approach you. And don't you dare try to convince me that you don't use your eyes to undress some of the young hunks, too!! :grrr:

And don't forget, someday, you're going to be one of those older guys, so give 'em a break every now and again!

did you even read my post?

you know... right where it says that everyone can be that troll guy.. not just older men? you know... i'm pretty sure that includes me in my own generalization...

jeez.. way to be mature.. calling me ugly.. woo.. i'm no diva... I'm not worried about getting older either... because i know i'm gonna at least have some class when i'm older and not go around bashing younger less experienced guys for the things they say without trying to understand them...

and just so you know... i've been with plenty of older men.. who treated me with respect.. and weren't creepy... I didn't feel like they were raping me with their eyes.. they didn't give me the creeps at all... why? because they were attractive to me.. so calm yourself down and act civil because there was no hate in my post... there is no hate in anything i say on here... i'm sorry you misinterpreted something i said... I'll apologise for rambling... but I'm not gonna apologise for saying what I feel

Wow, I was really mean to him, wasn't?

Oh well.. it's not like I take anything I said back.

I voted yes, and the same goes for those who are overweight or "too thin," or (for some people) "too twinky" or whatever. People have no control over their age, and often only marginal control over their body type. (An endomorph, for example, is born that way - and controlling body weight is far more difficult than for the one who is born as an ecto- or mesomorph.)

Disparaging comments and flames never change anybody's sexual-type preferences (our minds have generally been made up long ago), and they are seldom if ever constructive. Usually all they do is hurt the person who is targeted by the comment.

The only thing that bothers me even more is seeing people made-fun-of because they're going through depression, health problems, great losses or the like. There are people in here who I think nothing but kindly of, but who seem to be the merciless butt of jokes and insults.

I AM NOT BOTHERED AS MUCH BY NEGATIVE COMMENTS IN THE CE&P FORUMS, because it is assumed that we don't have all the same opinions on CE&P, and our opinions on these things are sometimes open for change. In matters such as CE&P, I will read comments I even disagree with vehemently - I'm still learning things, and sometimes it can make sense.

I have little tolerance for hypocrisy, greed, extreme fundamentalism and class or personal warfare (against the "disadvantaged" or poor or handicapped...or gays for that matter), though.

The MOD's need to be less aggressive in censoring posts. There is too much kowtowing to the sensitive little dears that get their feelings hurt if some discouraging word is heard. When someone makes an inappropriate comment, it is a reflection on them not on their intended target. Why protect them by removing the comment?

If your a mature man worrying about mature man bashing, your obviously not really mature. You need to look at some of the moron topics that get worked to death in Hot Topics by dumb young shits before you take anything they say personally.

Not that I want to offend anybody.

I'd prefer it if everyone was allowed to say whatever the fuck they want

Feel free to call me an ugly old fuck, if you should so wish; I'm old enough, and mature enough, not to care.

You or I can accept it even if it's directed at us. We both know who we are, and that we generally want this world to be a better place. However...

I don't assume that this is true of all in JUB who happen to fall outside the parameters of "gorgeousness." This type of behavior has driven some VERY important and cool people away from this site (a certain musician comes to mind immediately and I miss his comments more than he knows). Since the nasty comments cannot achieve anything constructive, I'd rather see then avoided. I'm on the fence, though, about actual censorship - possibly an infraction demerit. But where does the line lie, when the comment is sort-of derogatory?

Yet another of those things that has NO *perfect* answer, which is so often true of 21st Century issues in general...

No, I'm not going to specifically comment on one kind of bashing.

They should just be more aggressive and combat bashing - of anyone, in any group. This is supposed to be a place where we /should/ all get along and at times, it isn't.
