Showering during Middle School/High School

Jock staps and shower were part of gym class. I didn't realize that I was gay in high school, but I knew that I liked to watch the other guys undress at the beginning of class, do the group shower and dress afterward. Almost everyone wore white briefs, and I enjoyed how each student's dick showed through the white cotton before they pulled their pants on. I didn't wear contacts back then, and always left my glasses in the locker, so I didn't get to see any detail in the shower. For me, it was fun to get naked with all the other guys.

Little did I know that not looking due to shyness and insecurity was more of a sign to others I was gay than looking would have been. I later heard all kinds of stories about the athletes just standing around without their towels on, joking about each others' dick sizes, etc.
Really...

Showering was never mandatory for me, in middle school, high school, or college. Though I certainly wouldn't have minded checking out other guys in the shower, I feel like my pre-out self would have been terrified to look at anyone else. I've always had a strict "don't look at anyone else" policy (not sure why, I just always have). If I had known that it was normal to do/that other people did it, I might have relaxed enough to actually get some enjoyment out of it...

Wow, but a lot of you sound like primadonna wusses.

We didn't have to shower up until my senior year (that's Grade 12; primary school is Gr 1-7 and HS is 8-12; we don't have Middle School in .za), and then we got a new PE teacher who insisted that we would. We kicked up a stink about it for 2 weeks then just manned up and did it, realised we wouldn't die, and that was that for our class - we showered.

However, the younger guys tried to get their parents involved and 90% of the guys were sitting out with sick notes in the end. So they called the whole male population of the school together one day after school, and, the important bit, made us sit down in the hall. They said why they thought we all should shower and announced that we all would from the following Monday, with no exceptions.

But there was an out, if anyone was brave enough to take it.

Basically, the new teacher said "anyone who DOES NOT want to shower, stand up and come up onto the stage here next to me so we can take your name and put you on the 'does-not-have-to-shower' list." Needless to say, nobody wanted to be the first one to stand and face the fickle ridicule of 500 boys, even though undoubtedly most of that 500 desperately wanted to be on the list, so nobody stood. So he said it again with a wry smile, and then again.

Had any one guy been brave enough to be first to stand I think there would have been a mass-stampede onto the stage, but nobody did. So that was that; as far as they were concerned the tribe had spoken. "So many complaints from all of you, I was told, but nobody wants to go on my list? Last chance... no takers? Fine. Bring towels from Monday." The meeting was concluded and it was indeed showers compulsory from Monday.

This was in 1993 and *gasp!* we all survived.

Beginning in junior high and high school we had to wear a offical PE uniform so all guys were required to dress alike. We offical shorts, t-shirt, we had wear gym socks and gym shoes. (This was the age of high top-Coverse we all wore.) Plus that added piece of PE equipment the jockstrap.

During line up we had unifrom inspection and jock inspection you made sure you were dressed of PE.

Showers after PE were required. This was one of pleasures of seeing guys as they matured from junior high to high school.

In Junior High showers were required after gym. We had to walk from our lockers buck naked to get our towels which were the size of hand towels. A particular coach always stood at the entrance to the bathroom stalls to watch us walk by, the perv.

Yep, 6th grade on up through High School. It was hard at first (lol) because I was get erections, so I had to find a steamy area in the shower to go to because my dick would be stickin out like a flag pole. When I got to HS it was easy because I was so use to it. Now I'm in college and still showering with people around.

In jr. high our PE teacher was the stereotypical lesbian. Honest as I can be. At the end of class she would announce "Girls have to shower, boys.....I don't care what you do." She'd disappear into the locker room and make sure the girls showered. Most of us guys would just change without showering. Occasionally we would if we had gotten really sweaty.

Junior High, it mostly wasn't mandatory unless it was after football practice or if it was muddy outside and we got too dirty. I had this one kid in gym try to hand me his bar of soap and asked if I could soap up and wash his back for him... He was so hot but I flat out refused out of embarrassment and thinking he was baiting me.

In high school, I was in the marching band so didn't take PE so no shower requirement that I know of... the only time I ever was in the PE changing room / shower was after Friday night varsity football games (and occasionally after classes were over during half days before holiday breaks) where I would meet up with one of the tenor sax players from band class and he'd plow my ass in the empty locker room.
