Boaths are a treat that takes time and if you have them some massaging water jets, maybe some bubbles or salts, some nice music and some red wine. Soaking in that hot hot water is fantastic. However I don't feel very clean after soaking. Usually i will scrub off really quick in a shower after a bath.

Showers are a necessity. If you freeze in the shower then crank it up and get a rainfall head that covers you in warm water. It is also much more expedient to get all your pink parts squeaky clean. Shaving is easier since it washes down the drain. Face scrubbing is better with fresh clean water to wash away your cleanser. Hair comes cleaner in a shower. It just seems better. It is of course extremely wasteful of fresh water but while it last I will enjoy it.

^Don't showers use less water than a taking a bath? I supoose it depends on how long you stay in for.

well for me a shower is quick, but if im feeling like muscle pain my jacuzzi tub rocks

Entirely on how much your bath holds, type of shower head, pressure of the water. I would imagine baths take more water but I dunno.

I read this on Wiki Answers (obviously not reliable). it has an interesting test if your so inclined to know.

If your home was built before 1992, chances are your showerheads put out about five gallons of water per minute (gpm). Multiply this by the number of minutes you're in the shower, and the water adds up fast!
An average bath requires 30-50 gallons of water. The average shower of four minutes with an old shower head uses 20 gallons of water. With a low-flow shower head, only 10 gallons of water is used.
To test the amount of water used in a shower vs. a bath is to put the plug in the bath next time you take a shower (but not a stand-alone shower as you might spill over the lower shower wall).
After you've showered, see how much the tub filled up.

The example uses a four minute shower. i generally shower for ten minutes or sometimes 15. i know my BF is a minimum of 15. So I use fifty to 75 and my BF probably uses 100 or more each time

Showers. A bath is good every once in a while if you know how to draw one. Meaning last time I took a bath it was too hot when I got in, was comfortable for about 10 minutes, then was cold by the time I really felt clean and got out. Plus, bathwater is always so gross....

For me, shower wins hands down...

Also - I prefer a good high pressure head... :P

None of this rainfall business, I want to be able to blast all of the dirt away.

I have a high-pressure, low-flow head. This seemingly impossible object works because it uses some kind of fancy doohickey to mix air with the water, giving it very high pressure with very little actual flow.

It's interesting. You can stand MUCH colder water without getting a chill (well, unless you're JohannBessler), because there just isn't that much water carrying heat away from your skin. It does all the high-pressure stuff just like a high-flow shower head. I really like it.

I voted "shower" though I actually PREFER baths.

The problem is that it takes a LONG time to draw bath water, and I cannot be sidetracked into doing something else (all of which is in my outbuilding, not in the house where the bath is), and perhaps forgetting that I'm filling a bathtub. Water flow is very poor into the bath/shower, I'm guessing that it would require very expensive plumbing to replace the pipes which probably have massive calcium and other minerals built up on their insides. I haven't been able to justify that yet.

It takes about 20 minutes to fill the bathtub halfway.

So...I take the shower with the poor water flow, and the drafting air is chilly, but at least I'm quickly in-and-out and finished.

When I'm traveling and staying in a room, and I'm not in a hurry, usually I'll do the bath.

I shower normally. The only time I take a bath is if I'm feeling sore for some reason and figure a hot bath will help.

I think either would be equally great WITH a partner ..|

They are---even better with another JUBber. ..|

Showers in the morning, baths at night.

Showers for scrubbing.
Baths for relaxing.
Both for sex.

My thoughts exactly! ..|

I really, really, really, want to get a hot tub, though. I've got the perfect place for it on my patio. Even in the Winter, I wouldn't be too far from the door to run inside when it's cold outside.
