Showtime's "United States of Tara"

It's a new show on Showtime premiering January 18th, and Showtime has been nice enough to place the premiere episode on their website and even on YouTube.

It's a pretty good show starring Toni Collette and John Corbett, about a suburban housewife with dissociative identity disorder (multiple personality). She has two kids, a daughter, and a son who's gay.

I saw this a couple of days ago, I have to say it's really good. The whole concept of D.I.D is interesting in itself but the way this show shows it and how her family seem to be slightly ok with it makes it very entertaining. Can't wait to watch the second episode.

Superb cast and clever writing.

Love how her Alters function when they come out, they are extremely funny.

This is a good show. I have seen all three episodes. You can watch all three episodes on HBO ON Demand. I really enjoy it. I agree the show is too short.

I liked the third episode. To be honest, I'm finding the children way more interesting than the parents. The gay son is my favorite character (and the most distinct character).

In the third episode he has a crush on Andrew Lawrence and pretends to like Santana so he can talk to him.

Haha of course you love the son. He's gay. We always have more interest in the gay characters.

Not always. Sometimes they're dull and token characters. But I like this one.

I'm really into this show. You have to love Toni Collette...she is so amazing and talented. I think I've watched every movie she has ever done,but the stand out here is the cute and awkward Keir Gilchrist who plays Marshall.
