I just re-read this whole thread and please don't take me the wrong way but something is up.
Almost every person who commented on your thread gave some helpful advice, to which you replied in a negative, excuse making way. You asked for advice for help and instead of taking our responses to heart or even think about them you have been sorta negative.
Either you want to change or you don't. If you are fine with being a homebody than that is what you are and live with it. Or....find a friend and go out. If you don't have any other deaf friends I suggest you join a group or find a local deaf support group and surround yourself with people who can show you a way to go out have fun and not feel out of place or uncomfortable.
Once again I'm not trying to be rude or judgemental. Just an observation.
