Honestly, I'm having THE biggest schoolboy crush on one of my friends. He's ADORABLE, Witty, and we just have this INSANE chemistry. He even went out today and bought me a present for no reason!

Of course, he's straight, madly in love with his girlfriend who just moved to Florida. (We live in NYC) and he's engaging in a long distance relationship at the moment.

I know nothing can ever come of this, but I just need to vent. I'd give it all up for him, yet I'm smart enough to know it's not going to happen, and I need to move on.

Eh! Straight guys who are like creep me out too! My best friend takes me to the movies and treats me to dinner and the like, but is straight [and I firmly believe it!!!]

haha, I do the same thing. I don't really 'fall' for them, well maybe I do, I don't know we always just click and have similar interests, idk, there's just something about str8 guys that appeal to me so much more than gay guys do. I hang out more with my str8 friends than I do the gay ones, I've even slept with them, literally sleep, nothing more, haha I wish....

I've never fallen for any of my straight friends, but I have yet to really have a crush on a guy who isn't straight. I've had gay bfs, but I fall hard for a cute straight guy. Some of them throw out too many mixed signals...don't engage in serious eye sex with me unless you want more.

I know exactly what you mean.
But for me, when I fell for this straight guy (one in a long line of many), I got so taken away by the first look in his insane eyes that I practically started stalking him. Mind you, this only meant that I went to his work almost every day just to see him again.
The way it started for me was I went there one day just to grab some food for my lunch break. Then I was called as the next customer. Then the INSTANT I looked in his eyes, I was gone!!!
It got so bad, that him (and his gf) figured out that I was stalking him, but I couldn't help myself for a while there. Eventually, I forced myself out of the obsession, but then I couldn't get away from him even though I tried!!!
Then, later on, I moved out of town just to make sure they got the message that I was over it. But I'm gonna move back at the end of next year, coz I've got other friends that I left behind.
That and the other reason I want to move back is because there's a sexy gay guy that was trying to get to know me. He knows I like him too. But I was kinda scared off by the advances he made- now I just miss the attention.
I finally had it- someone (a sexy guy) who wanted to practically stalk me instead of the other way around!!! Fuck, I miss him (and a couple oter guys there, but him more-so)!!!

I find straight guys more attractive then gay guys but it's kind of pointless to lust for something you can't have. Can't help it though.

That's part of the attraction- something you want, but you can't have. Also, hot straight guys have more of a natural masculinity, but it seems like gay guys have to kind of fake being masculine, which can show as being a bit too try-hard. I know it's really all a matter of how it happens to the person and how interesting their life is, but it's a genereal rule of thumb.

I have the same problem but i think by the end of the summer my boy will come out the closet! he swore he was straigh dated girls but we have gotten even closer and he plays around with me! but i think his playing his sirious~

The fact that there's more straight guys in the world makes it inevitable that you'll fall for one someday. If everyone was bisexual or the world had more gays, it would be easier.

Glad to hear I'm not the only one in this type of situation. He doesn't make any sexual advances towards me, he's just...so NICE to me. Literally to me. We go to the movies, he sits next to me. Just walking in the street with a group of friends? Always by my side. Again, I know I'm thinking way too much into it but...he's too damn cute!

The only way you're gonna get past this thing is by learning the hard way. Coz nothing anyone says (including us telling you our stories) is gonna make you not attracted to him.
For me, I partly got embarrased out of and part forced myself out of my obsession.
So, I suppose in a way, you have to feel like an idiot (REALLY feel like an idiot) for getting so tied up in your emotions.
Which, right now, you just don't care on some subconscious level- even as much as you might look in the mirror and try to tell yourself to not be.
It's something that you just have to feel.
For me, seeing him driving to work on Valentine's Day with a giant bunch of roses for his gf a year or two ago stung like mad! :cry:
But at the same time of wanting to kiss him, I was also jealous of him coz of how perfect his life is.
I wanted to BE him.

Hell, nowadays, it's practically impossible to tell who's gay and who's really straight :confused: at first look coz of Metrosexuality.
Still, they look sexy.

I'm not attracted at all to gay acting men. If I want a woman... I'll fuck a woman.

Only times I have ever been with a guy they have been bi. All with extremely beautiful girlfriends that they love and fuck all the time.

I could of stole a very attractive guy from his girl (he told me I could)... but I wanted nothing to do with him when I woke up the next morning. Mainly because he was such a good friend and it was weird.... and even though he was hot.... i had no feelings for him. I actually didnt talk to him for a good long time after that, but now we are back in touch.

So even though I'm gay I'm extremely uninterested in any sort of gay man unless they act like a normal person. I dont care how hot he is, if he talks like a bitch I wont even go near.

I'm going through the same thing, I'm seriously in love with my straight friend who is constantly sending mixed signals and joking around! I'm very very confused! I keep telling myself "he is straight" "he is straight" don't let him get to your head, but I just can't help but hold out hope that he might be into me. He's one of those guys that does and says things "playing around" ugh...

Straight guys are usually attractive because of their perceived masculinity, so it makes sense that this is an issue we all usually deal with at some point in our lives. The healthy thing is to recognize that it'll probably never happen, but that's okay because there's always porn.

All of my friends have been straight cause I am in the closet. i don't have a lot of friends at once, but since growing up i have gone through my share of straight friends. i have been close to several very straight friends, and none would have bought me a present, maybe a punch in the arm! ;)

i do not know too may 22 year old guys (your stated age) that buy presents for other guys. i know this is just one thing, but my hunch is that this dude could be bi. i know i am stereotyping and generalizing, but just a though.:wave:
