For some reason, I'm am doubting very much that acting skill is the attribute porn actors are hired for... I doubt reading ability is much of a concern, either.

And the audience is probably not to terribly concerned with getting a well scripted, thoughtful, and well acted movie, either.

I would not know if they are good actors - I always fast forward through that part!

I remember reading something Lawrence Block wrote about the years he wrote erotica. He did some experimenting with the writing, which presumably served him well when he moved on. One experiment was something like chapter length, although he commented his readers of those books probably viewed the divisons as more like dull parts and spicier parts.

Another problem with paying too much attention to porn is that the plots give such unrealisitc views. Like a how fast a plumber comes when called.

I'm pretty sure I started with LP's, then "upgraded" to 8-track. I probably started again after a few years with cassettes.
