I received a lecture once an elementary school about sea monkeys and how nobody wanted them for a birthday gift - ungrateful little bastard. You remember buying X-ray Specs and Sea Monkeys.
When Charles Atlas was the thing in body building.
Coughs - it's a portable urinal and it has a lid so there! I use it because I refuse to acquire more arthritis via breaking more bones in my feet trying to take a leak in the middle of the night. Not my fault the peripheral neuropathy has messed with judging force, though in my case it isn't solely an age-related issue; in my case it's a combo pack.Who is going to be first to admit to using a piss bottle instead of staggering to the bog in the dark at 4am. Oh that's disgusting I hear you say. Yes, fair comment.
At least I'm not pissing in a brightly lit warehouse like they do at Amazon.
How dare you doubt the veracity of some random youtube video.I'm no fan of Wal-Mart, but that allegation would need strong proof of sequence. When did Wal-Mart begin insuring its elderly, did they do so exclusively and not insure younger employees? That they planned to exploit insurance is likely unquestionable. That it was their motive for hiring elderly greeters is not only unlikely, it goes against reason.
It's also relevant to note that Wal-Mart asserted that the policies were a strategy to offset the rising cost of employee health insurance, which failed, and the program actually lost money. They discontinued the practice in 2000, so that is a pretty old problem to be presenting as a current one.
This Wall Street Journal article from 2002 explained the practice: http://www.wsj.com/public/resources/documents/april_19.htm
This one from Florida explained the allegations a bit more: https://news.wfsu.org/wfsu-local-ne...ed-for-collecting-life-insurance-on-employees
The elderly were hired as greeters by Wal-Mart from the beginning because they were non-threatening, didn't appear to be security, and because the jobs were not as physical as cashiering, stocking, cleaning, or unloading trucks. They were also part-time, so provided a little extra income for retirees, while not demanding 8 hour shifts or more.
I read an article or comment yesterday in which a man told of recently visiting McDonalds and ordered a Big Mac and 2 Hash Brown patties. The total of his order was just over $13 American. How reliable is that amount? You remember when Big Macs were big.
And more than a few remember the first ever movie theater opening./\ Hell, I'll bet some of our fellow JUBbers used to blow the piano player during intermission.
It's probably very reliable. I don't know the price of those items individually, but in NYC a Big Mac combo meal was something like $8 and change before inflation hit, so it's probably upwards of $10 now.I read an article or comment yesterday in which a man told of recently visiting McDonalds and ordered a Big Mac and 2 Hash Brown patties. I still wake up with hard ons but someone told me it's the body's way of keeping you from pissing in your sleep since an erection blocks the urethra's connection to the bladder. I wonder if this is true. When you transition
from waking up with a stiff dick
to waking up with a stiff back.
