So Romney got into the race today. This IS the start of silly season. Last presidential election, it was the PUMAS (or as I refer to them as the "paranoid-annoying-jilted-bitches-with-too-much-time-on-their-hands").

So, how crazy can Romney get to disavow himself from his record?

What I find peculiar is Sarah Palin riding into town and stealing his thunder. She's really throwing a monkey wrench into the GOP's chances in 2012.

Rudy Giuliani did the same also today. Do Republicans have a death wish? They're in disarray.

It's good publicity. Never underestimate your opponent.

These candidates are not meant to please you, or me.

I am sure that traditional Republican voters, and the floating voter will be taking note.

Never underestimate your opponent.
No matter which Republican candidate is nominated, 45% of the electorate is going to vote for him/her.

The key is going to be the "independent voter." Democrats who do not have a death wish need to work for voter registration, knock on doors, volunteer to man the phone banks in 2012. Thomas P. O'Neill was right---all politics are local. :help:

As out of character as this may seem, Pres. Obama needs to be able to "sell" his accomplishments to the voter and to push back against the Republican Slime Machine, which should be in top form. It's not bragging, it's survival. ](*,)
