I tend to think there is something to this theory.

Big dick=big confidence=big success.

It often seems to be the case, from what I've noticed personally.

Well you never know if this is true or not till a study is done on it. Studies have shown that men and women who are taller are more successful in life and make more money over their lifetime. With studies showing height is associated with success and money a larger penis could be a possible reason as well. I'm sure its only a matter of time before someone decides to do a study on it, of course the study will probably be invalid as people would be more apt to let people study their height than their penis size. So my conclusion is it will always be speculation.
 
Penis size is viewed by man as power and social status. The guy with the biggest dick in the tribe had the most authority, and the guy with the smallest dick has the least. Since we wear clothes now, things like putting your thumbs in your belt, or athletes standing around and adjusting themselves is a subconscious form of "crotch display" that draws attention to that area; It's how we assert our dominance, or "size up" (literally) the competition.

Men also crotch-watch in the showers for the same reason, not necessarily because they're gay.

What a load of crap. Nothing to do with survival of the fittest huh, humanity has been built on thousands of years of gigantic cocks. You heard it here, folks.
 
^Probably not as far fetched in theory as it may sound in teh animal kingdom of which we are a part.

But since we've been largely dressed for the past couple thousand years, it's probably not as relevant as the poster suggests. Might it be if we walked around naked? Guess we'll never know.

Depending on whether the sun is shining (or not) i could have different opinions on this topic..

However -- there have been studies conducted that show that TALL MEN - get more attention, bigger pay checks, and better jobs/promotions than short men --
don't know who done it - or where - but i did read it a long long time ago.
When "male bosses" hired female secretaries - do you think they hired the ones with the smallest boobs they could find? - NOOO WAY---
When i did a lot of hiring (yeah it was a long time ago) I WAS speccifically told more than once - "i want the one with the big tits !" --

You say that having a big dick gives you more confidence, well I don't think that..
Alot of people who have big dicks actually have LESS confidence as they don't think they're normal
